What was the last fun thing that you bought?
Re: What was the last fun thing that you bought?
Which one was it? I've been thinking of trying one out.
For Milo, a Gryffindor Quidditch shirt, and for me, a new polka dot scarf.
Hmm, toss up between the EA Active 2 for the Wii, the new car stereo, or the car itself. Or it could be the smartphone that I might pull the trigger on tomorrow.
Gah, I need to stop the retail therapy!
I buy myself a lot of stuff too MrsA! My favourite recent purchase was actually one of my first ever grownup purchases - a silver and garnet Jewish star necklace I got in Prague. It makes me ridiculously happy and I've worn it almost every day since.

A full flamenco outfit for my daughter when we were in Sevilla. Dress, shoes, fan, earrings, the whole 9 yards. I danced flamenco for years when I was growing up, so seeing her take an interest in it is super fun and beats the heck out of all the princess dress-up clothes we have amassed. It's a good thing we don't have neighbors underneath us, though, because she can make quite a racket in those shoes!
ps- sorry for being an AW, I couldn't help myself.
@ Kelly321- I am a big fan of dictionaries, too. I have been lusting after a Petit Larousse illustrated dictionary (reco'd by Publius- merci!) but can't justify it until I pick up another French-English translating gig. Right now all I've got is work from Spanish.
That is AWESOME!

Anna- Super cute picture!
My last fun purchase was Haagen Daaz Ice Cream. Yum! I still have to dig into it.
My H left for the states and I gave him a list of things he should get if he gets a chance, so that was a fun list to make.

For our Valentine's day celebration I bought myself a fancy fascinator hat, which I love! It will be the first a whole collection
More recently I bought Super Mario party 8 for the Wii. Last night we played the real estate board and had a blast!
My "translation books" wishlist on amazon is embarrassingly long.
When I finally get this PhD finished and get started really translating (right now I'm limited to 20 hours / month of work), I have budgeted 1000? for books, and while I'm sure that will give me a good start, it certainly will not cover all of my list.
::sighs wistfully at the thought of illustrated dictionaries::
ps - That picture of your daughter is so cute! :-)
Just Dance 3 - it's fab with a mix of oldies, classics and new stuff

I took Spanish dance along with my ballet lesson. I learned a lot of different dances and it was so much fun! Hopefully she will give it a try someday!

I upgraded my iphone last weekend. It's nice to be able to open apps now. My iphone 3G was a pain in the ass.
I bought some more nail polish today too.
