I swear to Jesus, I feel like such a hot mess lately.
Remember how I posted a while ago about the parking mess at my office? I'm not sure if I mentioned it or not, but about a month or so ago I received a semi-threatening note on my car basically denigrating my position (contractor) and that I should find somewhere else to park. I assumed it was a random diickwad being a diickwad (no shortage of those around here) and left it alone. I only told BF. He's the one who washed the sticky film off my car from the note.
Well, I left work today and one of my car windows was smashed in. Someone launched a rock at one of my windows. I called the police and filed a report and then called my boss to fill her in. BF is dropping me off at work tomorrow and picking me up. At first one of the responding officers thought my window had been shot out with a pellet gun, but then they found the rock. They can't prove it was done with malice. There's no note this time. I didn't tell them about the previous note (I'm just not ready to formally elevate it, plus, I didn't keep it). I did tell my boss though. We're going to talk about a game plan tomorrow. I'm not ruling out that it's a coincedence. Better safe than sorry though.
Sigh. My window will be replaced Wednesday morning.
Re: When it rains, it pours
Omg wtf? People are nuts. If it were me I would leave a note on my car in large letters alerting the would-be miscreant that my car is under surveillance. Doesn't have to be true & it might save you a repair bill.
I would be concerned the idiot would try to take it a step further & assault my person when I was leaving for home. What an unbelievable jerkwad peen face. I'm sorry, Bowies. Boo.
WTF? Over parking? People suck.
I'm sorry Bowies! It's good that your boss is aware of what's going on now, but it sucks that you're dealing with this at all.
That really sucks...and it's scary!
I would have told them about the note. They may not have been able to do anything yesterday in that regard, but if things continue to keep happening, they have record of it.
I had someone break into my car at my condo a while back. They didn't steal anything and I had change and my cell phone on the front seat, but went through some personal items (Franklin Planner with my calendar, etc) I had on my car seat. I'm pretty sure it was the creepy single guy who was about 10 yrs older than me that lived in my building. I got home late that night and his light was on. Next morning my car had been broken into. I notified the police and they said they would keep it on file so if anything else happened they would have it on file.
