So doc said my shoulder is about a month out of being strong enough for my ankle surgery. My mind is kind of ehh about the whole thing
On one hand my ankle is at the point where ignoring the pain is not really helping, and I have been taken off all ib proven/motrin products because I have been on them for a year and a half. And I do not want to have to have someone come and stay with me after surgery (as it will be non weight bearing for a while and I have 2 boys).
On the other hand, I have been living with this ankle for a while now and hoping it can deal with 5/6 more months till H is back on American soil (but then again he will be at work and I will have to deal with a new ortho and still having to have help). It will make going to class and clinicals a tad difficult but I think I can make it work without having to have cruthches (I would get that thing you strap your leg into but you are still non weight bearing).
I just do not know what I want to do. 2 major surgeries within 6 months is kinda a lot!
What would you do if you were in my situation
Oh the ankle surgery would be repairing tendons and ligaments, making them stronger, and some other things.
Re: Ankle surgery or not that is the question, wwyd?
Gosh that really sucks. I have no idea what I would do, but I know I would prefer for my husband to be around while I was recovering even if I still needed help.
I hope things turn around for you soon.
