Falls on a Saturday this year, yay! Is anyone planning to go out and celebrate?
Our downtown area goes all out. Bars open at 8am for kegs and eggs (puke), people get all dressed up, there are Irish bands at every bar, giveaways etc. We're decking ourselves out in green, getting a taxi, and heading downtown around 11am to meet up with friends. It should be a lot of fun and I'm super excited. Hopefully I feel 100% better by then.

Re: St. Patrick's Day
Were not planning much as far as i know, I know a few of the guys DH works with are Irish so they might spring something on us. (we have a few Irish bars downtown)
I did plan however to pick up some cabbage and corned beef for dinner that night YUM! and maybe a bottle of Jameson Irish whiskey to go with that. If we do end up staying home we tend to always watch the boondocks saints on St.Patty's day
St Patty's is a religious holiday for DH. He usually takes the day off, starts at our favourite pub at 11:00 for brunch and stays all day to visit with other regulars. I generally meet him in the evening after I've worked, gone home and walked the dog and know he's almost ready to go home. I don't mind going out with friends, but there's nothing worse than sitting in a bar ALL day.
This year, I'm dragging DH to Syracuse, NY to go shopping with his parents. He's okay with it though because St Patty's on a weekend is always a mess. I'm sure he and his Dad will have a beer or two while waiting for the ladies to finish shopping
