Which European trip would you choose?
We are going to Europe this fall. We went to Germany, Austria, Hungary, and Czech Republic last year. Out of the above our favorite areas were the countryside in Germany and Austria, Munich and Vienna. We are considering the following for our next trip -
London and Edinburgh
or Paris and Zurich,
or Rome and Tuscany. Which would you choose?
Re: Which European trip would you choose?
Rome and Tuscany.
Why? B/C fall is so beautiful in tuscany. Seriously, the harvest is lovely and really cool.
London/Edinburgh and Paris/Zurich are all great cities, but are great year 'round (as is Rome). The "decider" in this case is fall in Tuscany.
Although I should obviously vote for Edinburgh, I have to agree - Italy in the fall is absolutely gorgeous and it's a great time to go. Italy is my favourite country I've visited - I keep going back and it's always amazing.

Of those three, I'd pick Rome and Tuscany.
But I would rather spend three days in Paris and the next three days in London...
Another vote for Rome & Tuscany, mainly because it is a mix of city and countryside/smaller towns. I always like a mix of both when I travel.
This. I always pick Paris, but I've never been to Zurich, so I can't say anything about it. I'd love Paris/London, though.

Paris and Zurich, but only because I've been to Italy :-) If you haven't been to Italy, I'd DEFINITELY go there. And get to Sorrento while in Tuscany!
We are looking at a Germany/Austra/Czech Republic trip this year! (Thinking Munich to Salzburg to Vienna to Prague). How long did you go for? Did you use any travel agents/services or plan yourselves? We don't have a lot of experience planning on our own, so are a little unsure where to start!
