Chafing...and Probably TMI

Over the past two weeks I have been running about 3-4 miles per day, and it has been unusually hot as well.  I have always been prone to chafing, however, today it happened on my nipples, so much so that they bled.  This has never happened to me before, and it kind of freaked me out.

What can I do to prevent this in the future, because it is really painful!  Is there special cream I can get?  Do I perhaps need a different bra that provides better support?  Any advice is welcomed!!

  • Sounds like you may need a tighter sports bra. 
    if that doesn't work you could try body glide.  i also know many guys who wear band-aids for that same problem.

    ITA! Also, make sure that you aren't running in a cotton sports bra.

  • Also watch out for any seams in the shaping bras.  If there is a seam that hits right on your nipple no amount of body glide or tightness will help, at least in my experience.  I've had to wear bras inside out for this reason.  Hope it heals quickly!
