Has anyone had a sinus flush done in the ENT office or something similar? Just wondering others' experiences. My ENT called this morning and recommended it. I'm just gathering all options, opinions, info. etc.
(This is not the same as using a neti pot).
Re: Sinus Flush Anyone?
No, but I would be interested to hear about it if you have it done.
/loads of sinus issues
.
nevermind.
Me too!
We did but one of the electronic irrigators (like a netipot and waterpic married - this thing would be their baby) and I do think it works better than my netipot.
I found out more information. It's done under sedation. They make a small incision in one of the membranes in the nose and "vacuum out" all of the pus, mucus, etc. Those are not the exact medical terms, but it's way more than using a neti pot. The ENT said that downtime is only 24 hours.
It looks like it will be about a week and a half until I can have it done. I'm waiting for confirmation from the doctor's office.

Sadlebred, would you mind sharing why you are getting this done? I have so many issues with my sinuses as well and have never heard of this. Is it something that typically only needs to be done once?
TIA and good luck!
Thanks, Phoenix! I'm hoping that it helps this sinus infection. I just posted a follow up in another post. My CT scan showed some of my sinus cavities were almost completely white and filled with pus, mucus, and other stuff. Ugh. No wonder I feel horrible.
