My radio station that I listen too regularly does a happy thoughts segment (though usually on Fridays), but today's been awesome so far so I thought I'd share mine!
MIL told me I should go out and buy a lotto ticket right now.
* When subbing this morning, the sub secretary let me leave a half hour early to enjoy the beautiful weather. (The teacher's meeting ended early, and though I volunteered to assist somewhere else, they didn't have anything for me to help with.)
* Upon leaving work this morning, I had 2 voice mails.
1) Countertop guy finalizing a quote so we can get practically free countertops. FIL won a credit and they don't want to use it so they gave it to us.
2) A principal wanting to discuss a leave position with me. Just got a hold of the principal, and it's for the remainder of the school year in an intermediate grade level!! I'm meeting with her tom. to discuss the specifics of the classroom.
* UPS came while I was home (This never happens at all...the guy even commented about how he was surprised that I was not at school). In it was a $250 gift card to a shoe store! (MIL enters all of us in her sweepstakes things)
It's beautiful outside right now, and sunny. Tomorrow and the rest of the week are supposed to be even nicer, in the high 70s.
So now I'm debating about stopping for a lotto ticket when I go fill up my car this afternoon. Scratch off, or regular lotto?
Any body else have any happy thoughts to share?
Re: Happy thoughts
a student I had 5 years ago stopped by after school just to say hi. Totally didn't recognize her, but it made me practically skip out of there today. Just made me realize I must have made an impression if she came by the say hi.
Also, today could have been my last day of work!!! I'm taking off work tomorrow - Friday for dr appts. And baby is due tomorrow so it's possible I won't be back before the end of the school year!!!!
Newstart- wow, what a day you had! Good luck with that position.
Sarah- hope you are feeling well, good luck in the coming days!
I had a 7th grade student ask me for book recommendations. After reading the Hunger Games series, I had recommended Divergent. She finished that and told me that I give the best recommendations! I went onto Goodreads and wrote up a list for her! This just made me smile!
I love the nice weather we are having. It feels like May and I love it!
Two and a half weeks until spring break.
We hung out with our neighbors after work. It was fun!
