Celebrity Apprentice 3.11.12 (spoilers)

This episode really pissed me off. Actually, Trump really pissed me off. He's been even weirder and creepier than usual, especially with Dayana.

I felt really bad for Adam and Michael. They didn't stand a chance. And Trump constantly saying Michael should have done it was stupid. He didn't want to do that challenge. He didn't think he was right for it. He races cars, fast cars. He doesn't promote slow cars. He completely ignored the fact that Adam knows about cars, and hosts a show on Speed channel about cars.

Also, Buick wasn't even pleased with the little Michael had to do with the presentation. He isn't an outgoing, charismatic guy. He would not have done well as the PM and presenter at the show.

I think Trump was pissed because he promised Buick that an Andretti would be there spokesperson, and he didn't deliver.

  • I totally agree with everything you said.  So, basically Michael was fired because he didn't do back flips over the car and do a victory lap.  I am guessing that Michael didn't like the car and a lot had to be cleverly edited so that it didn't reflect negatively on Buick since the show was a 2 hour commercial for them.

    This episode was dumb.

I absolutely agree with the above.  It seemed so unfair to the guys team.

I LOLd during the test drive because it was obvious the car was fairly slow and didn't handle really well. Yeah, this is something an Andretti should endorse. It seemed like a perfectly fine car for a family, though.

If I were a celebrity like him, I would not have wanted my name tied to something like that, so be it if I were fired. I would just donate money to my charity then.

Yes!  Apparently the car is built with the same engine/frame as the Chevy Cruze.  I'm sure that he cringed while he was driving.

  • I was really hoping he'd cut Michael and Lou. Michael didn't really contribute, and Lou's only contributions are whining and offering to flex his muscles.

I was kind of happy to see Teresa get riled up there for a minute in the boardroom. I really expected more drama from her being on the show, but have been disappointed by how tempered she's been.

Aubrey is definitely sharp, but I think she'll be her own downfall in the end. I'm guessing whenever she's project manager.

I love Dee, Arsenio, & Penn, they're both funny and smart! Penn folding himself into the trunk was hilarious.

I can't believe they didn't bring up the "YOU SUCK!" snafu in the boardroom... that was so stupid!

I wonder if this is Teresa's true personality, and she just plays it up on RHONJ. She is definitely acting very reserved and more intelligent than on RHONJ.

I agree about Dee, Arsenio and Penn. I actually felt bad that Arsenio had to go back into the board room last week. His picks weren't great, but I was impressed by his ability.

I almost forgot about Aubrey. The whole comment about the "cool" car really irritated me. Grow the f up. You're not here to find you BFF and hopefully talk to your crush; you're here to win money for your charity.

  • I don't know why I watch this show, because Trump just pisses me off. He does what ever he wants, and he keeps people around because he "likes them." Last year with Gary, and this year with Lou. Every one on the team says "look, this is our weakest link" and Trump just goes on about "oh, but he's such a good guy. I don't care."

I think Trump was also childish about firing 2 people last night. He always likes to say the PM should take responsibility, and when one does, he freaks out.

I also Andretti made a good point when he said something about he didn't need to be PM to endorse the car and help "brand it." It's ridiculous to punish him for that. ALSO it appeared that the Buick just wanted a free endorsement, with out caring if he even wanted to. So what, he was still there, still selling your car. Who cares if he wasn't the main spokesperson? If you wanted it as a requirement, why even have it as a challenge since the women wouldn't be able to have it.

Last year, they got pissy when Gary offered to be a personal spokesperson for a company, and now they get pissy if you DON'T offer your name.

UGH. That's all I have to say.

  • I am a giant Adam Carolla fan so I was quite annoyed with this episode.  The girls presentation blew and the guys were fired only because Andretti wasn't PM.  Lame.
  • I thought Adam did such a great job, and besides Michael not actually being the PM, he was plenty involved in the entire presentation. I don't get Trump's fascination with certain people. Why was it ok for George to go peacefully last week, taking the fall as PM, and then this week Adam tries to be gracious, and Trump won't accept it. Same thing with whatever that older model woman in the first week. He and Ivanka were so in love with her and they let her go without putting up a big fight. She basically quit and gave up, yet he liked her and told her she wasn't quitting. Then Victoria "thought about quitting" and that was just as bad as actually quitting and Trump fired her for that. WTH?

I think Trump definitely had another agenda here and that was to punish Michael because he wanted him to be PM no matter what. He also completely twisted Arsenio's words about Buick wanting Michael's NAME; yet he was at least 50% of the presentation and they didn't like HIM. He's a car driver, he's not a performer or a salesman.

I thought Adam's comparison of the football players and fantasy football guys was dead on, and Trump didn't understand and dismissed it.

    Hopefully Lou goes next.

  • I was so frustrated with the outcome of this episode. I love how Trump makes up the rules as he goes along.

  • Adam and Michael got a raw deal.  The women certainly were not as good as the men, and especially not as knowledgeable.  Debbie Gibson, whom I liked as a child, now gets on my nerves.  She is so hardened now, esp. with that excessive makeup.  Rainbow Brite needs to go soon, too!!  I am hoping for Penn and Lisa as the final two.

I am even buying into the conspiracy theory that Michael Andretti only promised Trump that he'd be on the show for a set amount of time, so Trump had to concoct a reason to dump him.

Maybe Trump was right about branding---but that Andretti didn't want to cheapen his brand by associating it with a car for one task on a cheesy reality show.  DH told me that the Andrettis drive Hondas and are associated with Hondas.

I liked how Carolla had an edge and wasn't esp. deferential to Trump. I wish he would've lasted longer.   The sad part is that since Trump had it in his head that Andretti would be project manager, it really didn't matter what the teams would've done.

I am so sick of Lou and his persecution complex.  All he gives a crap about is the hulk, and it's so stupid.  He must go soon.  It'd be a shame if strong players left because Trump had "hot nuts" (sorry) for the Latino women.

Trump says the most inappropriate things! I am constantly looking at H in disbelief. I guess Trump has to own his own companies, if he worked for anyone else he would be fired or brought up on sexual harassment charges.
