Here's a good thing about FB:
I have a friend who is driving to Utah by herself. She's documenting the trip on FB as she goes. At least we can all kind of keep tabs on her as she goes and know where she is!

That's good then!
Holy crap Debbie Downer!
I think that's cool ECB, I love reading people's travel notes.
It's so true though. I've seen news interviews related to FB and out of town FB status messages. Sad, but true...and frankly an easy way to determine who to rob. People should have their profiles private anyways...I still don't understand those that have profiles anyone can see (and everything on it)
RIGHT?!

We just did this on our way from PA to WI.
It was kind of like we had cheerleaders at all of our check-ins. It was fun!
BUT IT'S TRUE!!
Yeah, we all know it's true you guys, we've had the internet longer than five minutes. Holy crap. Take a deep breath. It's a fluffy post about a road trip, not a diatribe on the evils of FB. Take your hand-wringing about privacy to ML!
That is great. I have a friend that is on a roadtrip and she is constantly checking in on FB letting us know where she is and what her plans are.
This is why ESD doesnt document when she is out somewhere on fb and she only does it after she gets home. true story yo.
That sounds like fun.
I don't document when we're out of town (or when DH is out of town) on FB for that reason. I trust my friends won't rob me, but who knows?
Driving to Utah by herself sounds like an incredibly painful experience. But, it wouldn't be too bad if she takes her time and limits the time on the road every day.
Yeah, I'll only do a check-in if someone else is home at my house and NEVER post about DH going out of town until he is back. I had a stalker issue a while back and don't want to have to shoot anyone in the face.
