Last minute stopover in Prague - need hotel recs

I need to book a hotel ASAP.  I'll be there for 4 nights and would like to stay in a district that is convenient to all the major tourist destinations.  Any district or hotel suggestions?

Re: Last minute stopover in Prague - need hotel recs

  • I visited Prague a few years ago and stayed in an awesome apartment just off of Old Town Square called Arcadia Old Town Apartments (http://www.arcadiaoldtown.com/). I stayed in Konza Thirteen Apartment 2. The location was amazing and we had a fresh breakfast delivered to us each morning. I highly recommend this place!

  • I stayed at Hotel Josef last summer.  Very walkable to everything but not smack dab in the middle of tourists.  probably 3 blocks off.  they had huge free breakfast every morning and we booked online and paid 3 nights and got the 4th night free.  I think the rate was under 150 EURO
  • No recs-just wanted to say I am laughing at your screen name-awesome!

  • We stayed at Chopin Hotel for 5 nights in July 2010.  It was very reasonably priced (less than $80 a night including tax and breakfast for 2).  It was right across the street from the main train station and very close to the center.   We walked to a lot of places. The room were basic but clean and convenient.
  • I really liked Dahlia Hostel - we have  a private double room with shared bathroom (never saw another guest or waited for the bathroom) and free wifi for like $70 a night. Perfect location and really friendly staff.
  • Unitas.

It's central and historic - it used to be a prison and Vaclav Havel was imprisoned there.
