I read something on this board awhile back about someone asking if they should get their realtor a gift after closing. I think most of the responses said there's no real need to since they're making money from the sale. But, in our situation our realtor is a girl my age and is the friend of a friend. We met her 3 years ago when we moved to the area and she's been showing us neighborhoods and houses on and off over the years, even though she knew we weren't buying right away. We are buying now and will close in two weeks. I would really like to do something for her because she's someone we'll keep in contact with and she really has been super helpful to us. Any suggestions of what to give her?

Re: Realtor Gift
How about a starbucks gift card?
I think the best thing you could give someone in that profession is lots of referrals. Maybe you could write a glowing review of her on Yelp?
Great idea!
I was thinking something similar. We ended up really wanting to be in our hometown, which is 40 min away from our realtor (we work in the town that the realtor works and we thought we'd buy closer that way). Anyway she's doing a ton of driving so I thought it was a good idea.
