Does this bother anyone else? (Vent)

I went after work today to pick up tights for Julia to wear under her St. Patty's Day Dress.   I had to go to THREE stores to find tights, because they no longer have them since they now have their summer cloths out.  Not to mention, all the Easter dresses are tank tops!  Not even short sleeves!  Here in the northeast, the average temperature on Easter morning is around 45 degrees.  There is no way I am putting my baby girl in a tank top. Sure there are sweaters, to put on top, but still!!!

Anyway, does it bother anyone else that the clothing stores have clothes out that are 2 seasons ahead?  I don't need a bathing suit in March!  And when I do need one in June, they will probably be sold out!  This drives me nuts!!!!!!!!

  • It goes along with Easter candy out in January/Feb and Christmas stuff out in September.
  • Yeah, I saw Reese's Eggs and bathing suits on New Years Eve. It's ridiculous.

  • Very much so. Wyatt just recently hit a huge growth spurt (finally!!) and he went straight from 6 months to 12 month clothes. His 9 month shirts that he just fit into a couple weeks ago are already getting too small. I have no clue what to buy for summer because I have no idea what size he'll be in by then.

  • I'm not a fan of the seasonal decorations being out so early, but it's tolerable because at least you know you'll use it or can store it until then. But the clothes thing, drives.me.insane. I don't want to buy a bathing suit in January! And it seems to get earlier and earlier every year. I flip out when I go to exchange something after Christmas and the stores have ZERO left of the item, but if I want some shorts or tank tops, I'm all set.

  • I'm with you! It was hard to find an outfit for baby's take home outfit that would work for spring, because everything was way to summery already.

Same! I mean, just because it was 4 months before Easter doesn't mean I didn't buy 6 of them...

  • I agree the clothes are worse than the holiday stuff. This is one of the reasons I love TJMaxx/Marshalls so much. Because they're such a mix, they always have stuff that's truely in season.
  • We don't really have seasons down here so the summer clothes early don't bother me. It's going to be 80 today. I do get annoyed with winter stuff coming out early because we only need that stuff for a couple of days. So I guess down here its the opposite. Side note: I wish they had reeses eggs all year long!
