The River

Attack of the Zombies? Really?

You went from cheesy to lame-o really quickly.

But of course, I have to see the finale.

Re: The River

  • I know, I was like, zombies? Really?

I'll be watching the finale too though :)

I take it this is just a one time series? There won't be any more seasons of it?

  • I'm usually a lurky lurker over here, but:

I've watched the whole thing & can't imagine it's going to be picked up for a second season. I mean, I like campy/cheesy stuff, but this is getting kind of ridiculous because they're serious about it.

  • Oh, thank gawd there's another episode, I thought that was the last one!

Yes, this show is cheesy but it has really entertained us.  I like this concept of a 7 episode mini-series.  7 straight weeks without any reruns is awesome.  And the show stays fresh instead of really, really ridiculous.

  • At the end of the last episode, they said that next week is the "season finale" not "series finale," although I have to assume it's the end of the run.

I appreciated the show a lot more before the attack of the zombies. I  think that the rest of the story line is decent, and has entertained us well.

I do really like the idea of the 7 run series.

  • I love this show but I've missed the last two weeks lol.

  • I think they were originally planning a multi-season series but it wasn't picked up because of poor ratings and low viewership.

I don't love it, but it's definitely entertaining. I was more bothered by Emmet in a cocoon than I was by the zombies.

There is a lot of information I'm hoping we get in the next episode. I'll be bummed if they leave tons of stuff hanging.

  • haven't watched it this week but they brought out the zombies - really???

I don't know if I can watch anymore if it is going to get that cheesy

Basically, but they weren't called zombies. The crew finds an abandoned research facility that had found something in the genetic material of the locals that could cure cancer. The security lady was with Kurt and also trying to stop people from finding "the source" so she shot up the lab, which released some kind of toxin/chemical/whatever into the air and everyone in the room became a zombie-esque carnivorous super-human.

Is this facility the place where the Native Indians dropped off the explorer in the last episode?
