dh is off to the US today for 3 weeks *sob*, I wish I could go with, but then I wouldn't have enough holiday time to go see my family in June
anyhow - this weekend SIL is going to distract me - its meant to be rainy & cool - but we're hoping to make it to the zoo and tomorrow I'm having coffee with an old flatmate from London who now lives in NZ - I haven't seen her in like 5+ years - should be nice!
Good morning! I feel better today, so I'm back to work. Hopefully I won't be too tired.
QOTD: Probably going to the cinema and maybe out walking this weekend. It is supposed to be warmish,I believe
Morning! Had to open up the library this morning so I'm tired, but we close earlier than usual on Fridays. Then I will attempt to go the gym. I haven't gone in two weeks. This was a two month experiment which failed because I have no motivation to exercise. But I have until the end of the month paid, so I might as well use it.
QOTD: Sunny and warm (mid 70s). As usual. Though there are actually some clouds today unlike our normal cloudless days. Yes, you can be jealous.
Morning! We're heading out today for a 1.5 week trip. First we're going to a weekend retreat, and from there I'm going to Bonn for a seminar and then Cologne for another seminar, and DH and DD are going to his parents so he has some support while watching her for the week.
QOTD: The mornings are freezing, but the afternoons have gotten *relatively* warm the past few days. It's actually making it very difficult to pack for this trip - in the mornings I need my winter coat and in the afternoons a lighter one, and I don't really have a lot of extra room to pack both. Sigh.
I always hated this dilemma so I found a coat on Eddie Bauer that is a waterproof trench with a detachable puffy lining. So I can just take out the lining when it's warmer. It's been such a convenience.
Morning, INs! It's been a busy week--was in the US Sat-Weds, busy day at work yesterday, etc.
QOTD: My in-laws are visiting, arriving this morning. This is a quick Nestie break in between finishing cleaning the flat--just need to vacuum and do a quick tidy of our bedroom--and then run to the grocery quickly to get a few last minute things.
I'm excited as tomorrow we are visiting the Peak District to see Lyme Hall, the setting for Pemberly in the A&E Pride and Prejudice. It's supposed to be lovely and I can't wait!
Right now, it's gray outside but fingers crossed that it will be beautiful tomorrow.

Just had a coffee with a friend after dropping M off at school. Tonight we are going to a book release cocktail and then meeting friends for drinks.
QOTD: It's a bit cool compared to last week. I can't wait for sandal weather!

Weather in London is pretty blah. Gray and meant to be rainy all weekend. And in the 50s.
Big weekend for us! We find out the gender of our baby this afternoon and then dinner with friends! Tomorrow Going to visit our friends here who had their baby this morning. And then Sunday heading to the Ideal Home Show to pick out some necessities and renovations for the home we are hopefully closing on soon!
