For the last two weeks, my husband and I have been trying to get up early (5:15-ish) to go for a walk together. I'm glad he is joining me in an effort to be healthier, because neither of us is a morning person so it helps to have the other's support. This morning, one reward for getting up so early was seeing an amazingly bright "falling star" that made a long streak across the southern sky. It was pretty cool.
Have any of you who exercise outside had special little "rewards" (other than the benefits of the actual exercise) that just make you smile?
"You're the L and the V, I'm the O and the E...Am I speaking clearly?"
Re: small rewards
That would of been cool to see.
Wed night was my first run of the season. All I could think while running, with the sun beaming down on me was: "Ahhh, life is beautiful!"
When I am running I just feel so connected to nature, always makes me want to get back outside the next day.
5:15ish? yikes! I am not a morning person, and have been trying unsuccessfully all week to get up at 630 to do a strength workout. I even go to bed early between 8:30 and 10 every night, but my body just wants to stay curled up to DH as long as possible. Good for you!
