Re: FFFC

  • I have absolutely no desire to look at the photos from nephew's third birthday, mostly because despite her insistence that she "edited quite a few", she included 463 photos of the party. FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY THREE PHOTOGRAPHS. If there were 20, sure. 463? Fat chance, sister.

The sound of DH's voice is grating my nerves today and I don't know why.

I couldn't finish my workout today because running made my sciatica hurt, so I tried to finish it on the elliptical but found that was easier on my knee but harder on everything else, so I couldn't finish it that way either. I hope this doesn't derail my efforts.

Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
  • I'm bleeding again.  I went apoplectic on the NP who told me it wasn't an emergency so I couldn't see or speak to a doctor.  I may or may not have made her cry.  Whatever, my doctor would be been PISSED if she'd heard what that biatch put me through.

My spending this month is out of control because of plane tickets.  One home for friend's chemo and one to a bachelorette party in New Orleans over Labor Day (which I could have delayed but bought because I didn't know I'd be buying another one).  I could afford one, not so much both and savings goals.

Work has been hell the last few weeks- I just want to curl up and sleep.

I'm going to go to Zumba tomorrow even though I need the rest/sleep more because I'm having a bad body image week.

  • I found a house I love and that's perfect and we wouldn't have to go through the addition process but it's out of our comfort budget. We'd be house rich and we definitely don't want that. Sigh.
Baby, you've got the sort of eyes that tell me tales...

  • I use an anagram solving website playing WwF.

I was a coupon freebie hog today and used coupons to get a free sub, soda AND a cookie. Then I snagged a few more free cookie coupons. Free lunch always tastes better.

I snapped and demanded a lock be put on by Monday on the room I use to pump. I got walked in on AGAIN today. I'm starting to wonder if I don't just work with a bunch of pervs that want to look at my rack.

This. People are too into photography. SIL will take THOUSANDS of pictures on a vacation. She'll post 400ish of son's baseball game. It's kinda ridiculous. We don't need to see a picture of every flower in Disney World.

It also annoys me that everyone thinks they're a professional photographer these days.

I might kill my supervisor. Friday is seriously the only thing saving her.

Totally agree with the photographs point.  Though I am guilty of posting my fair share.  I went to school for it and learned how to edit myself but it's still super hard to do sometimes.

It really grates my nerves that I have coworkers who own better cameras than I do and only use then on auto to take pictures of their kids playing sports.  I would love to be able to afford that equipment because theb maybe I could actually do that part time and then one day full time and quit this job!

Part two of that is I'm a coward and can't face failing at the one thing I truely love to do which is why I still to doing it as a hobby.

    This is me as well.

I'm totally guilty of the photography thing, but I would by no means call myself a professional, but it was part of my schooling. It's a hobby that I would love to one day turn into something bigger, I'm just too afraid to fail - it doesn't help that I'm pretty antisocial too.. lol

I'm not anti-social so much as socially awkward.  I'm terrible at maling small talk with strangers and when I get nervous I tend to come off as b!tchy sooo yeah,  wedding photography is definitely out lol.

Agreed agreed on the everyone's a pro photographer now. I worked for a pro wedding photographer who shot in auto, and yelled at me for shooting in completely manual settings and manual focus. I hate wedding photography and studio photography. I was always a conceptual/art photographer, which is really difficult to make a living off of, and working in the "pro wedding" field almost completely killed photography in general for me.

I'm also so socially awkward, even I feel uncomfortable around me.

  • My only FFFC is that I just ate a huge plate of chinese food, but as soon as it digests I fully intent to eat the kit-kat bar that's in my purse.

I believe this confession is what ML would refer to as a "Baconator".

  • I judge parents with really naughty kids.  I feel that yes, some kids are naturally a little more defiant than others but, I think 90% of it is from parenting.  Weston goes to a playgroup at the library and a little boy kept stealing his ball/trying to and hit him.  The mom was handling the situation well.  But you could tell by how nothing she said affected him, that when not in public, she probably isn't consistent with not letting him misbehave.

Sometimes, I just want to take some of those kids under my wing for a few months and see how their behavior changes :) Whoa, that sounded a little conceited.  I don't mean it like that.  Talking care of kids is just what I do and what comes naturally to me.  Thats all :)

Along this same line, I am the person in Walmart or a resturant or most public space that will discipline your misbehaving child with a stern look and a "this is not acceptable behavior, where is your care taker?" Yup, I can't stand ideally by, I believe it takes a village my friend and I can only hope someone would be brave enough to speak up to scold Alex when he's older and if he happens to be doing something naughty out of my sight.  I would thank the person.

I am also this person.  I will tell them on the way to their care taker that it is unacceptable to (insert bad behavior here) in the store, etc.
