Long day yesterday. Now I'm fresh as a daisy.
The info I got on Melo's suspension came from J...so if he was wrong, I'm going to be pissed.
Speaking of pissed...fuckings UNLV. Why did I have them in the Elite 8? Oh yeah-I hate Duke. That's why.
I'm killed all ready. All the upsets last year screwed with my thought process this year. I had UNLV going far. I was going to pick VCU though, DH talked me out of it with the "this is not last year, they only have one returning starter." I decided I was going to put the winner of that 5/12 upset in the sweet 16, so WST killed me. Same thing with LBST. Today's miserable picks from some of my brackets:
GT losing to Belmont
Texas beating Cinci
Temple losing to SFL (which isn't so far off considering they had some losses to aweful teams)
San Diego St losing to NC state
I also had a Montana/Wis upset picked yesturday
No, Cuse said that Melo's out for the tourney. I got my info 2nd hand, so they were like "out for the first game" and I though "Oh, no biggie. They're a 1 seed. No 1 seed has ever lost in the first round." Fark.
Bummy, you scared the CRAP out of me.
I had to go and double-check my bracket cause lord knows the usablity of these tourney sites is complete CRAP and it would have been entirely possible that it got effed up.

Phew. Melo being out is the reason I have them losing to Vandy in the Sweet 16. Which is still ambitious, but this is my only bracket this year so gotta go big or go home right?
Vandy is one of my favorite dark horse teams.
I'm pissed I didn't know about Melo or I would have picked similar. If not Sweet 16, definitely Elite 8.

Me too. Now Ohio State has to face Gonzaga, and that scares me more than facing WVU did.
