BF's birthday is Monday, and mine was last week. We weren't really going to do anything gift-wise, but after a conversation we had last night, I decided I wanted to put together a little basket for him for my house that has his "stuff" in it, like his brand of shampoo, body wash, deodorant, razor, a toothbrush, etc., so he doesn't have to drag his stuff with him when he comes to spend the night. I don't want him to feel bad for not getting me a gift, because that's what we'd decided, but I really want him to have this stuff so it's easier on him to come here. WDYT?

Re: Is this a cheesy BD gift?
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be misquoted and used against you. My Blog
i don't think it's cheesy, it's really thoughtful.
but i wouldn't give it to him as a gift since you guys decided not to exchange them.
I think him being receptive to that suggestion is a good clue that he'd like the gift. I knew that F would like it because about a week before that he asked if it would be okay to leave a toothbrush at my house and when I said yes he had this weird smile on his face.
