AW: good news
I took LilShirley into work last Friday to say hello to everybody, and I got called into my boss's office to chat when my direct supervisor wanted to hold the baby. I got a promotion for next year! I'll still be doing what I currently do, but this is an added title and pretty significant responsibility. It also paves the way for what I hope to ultimately do, career-wise.
Anyway, I thought I'd share here, since I don't think I can share this news with anybody at work yet.
I am serious...and don't call me Shirley.

I'm going to tell myself this on the many days when I simply don't see the point in exerting the effort on changing out of a sweatshirt that smells of baby vomit.
Honestly, that's part of why it's so crazy. I had lunch with my BFF today, who was like, "You should take leave EVERY year". This is like finding the golden ticket. I feel like Charlie

ETA: BTW, all of the kids in the sigs here are super cute, from the squishy baby cheeks to the toddlers to the big kids.
