BBE! I hope you're here!

Hey BBE (or anyone else who likes to cook!)...

Have you ever grilled pineapple rings on the grill before? I had a burger with grilled pineapple on it for the first time while on vacation and I'm now in love with the deliciousness of it. So I'm going to try my hand at grilling them myself tonight for pineapple turkey burgers.

Have you grilled pineapple before? Any tips? I'm planning on just getting a can of rings since I have NO idea how to take a fresh pineapple apart.

Oh, FFS.

  • Oooh yummy! I don't think I've done the grilling myself, though I have eaten them. I think as long as you spray the grill and don't make it super crazy hot, you should be good. I'd think fresh pineapple would hold up a lot better than canned though. Taking it apart is not that hard! I can tell you how if you want to try it..

  • I'll ask you in chat. :) I was kind of thinking the same thing, since the canned is sitting in juice.
    Oh, FFS.
  • Yes I like to add a dash of cinnamon to my pineapple before I grill it! Yum!!
  • Ooh, that does sound good. Might add a little smoky flavor to the burger, too.
    Oh, FFS.
  • My tips are about the same as BBE... make sure you oil your grill really well. I'd also put it on the opposite side from the burgers, because the falreups could be bad news.

I didn't even think about the flareups, I will definitely make sure they are on the opposite side! I am about to start slicing up my first fresh pineapple now!

    Oh, FFS.
  • Thanks everyone for the advice! My dinner was freaking fantastic. One of the best I have ever made! The grilled pineapple was absolutely perfect!
    Oh, FFS.
