I feel like all I talk about is weather

But here are pictures of our 5 inches of completely unforecasted surprise snow late Monday night. It was fun overnight, but not so fun in the morning when our tree was demolished and for my drive to work (we dont have snow plows...) In areas where cars had already driven and the snow was piling up a bit, the prius couldn't clear it... haha. And then I got to work only to find out we didn't have power, and I was running conference calls on speaker phone on my personal cell (again, fun). Power is still out and expected to be out through the weekend for our rural areas. That will be an entire week of no power. Ugh.

Re: I feel like all I talk about is weather

  • I would absolutely cry if I woke up to 5 inches of snow that I didn't know was coming.  Especially since my 2 week spring break is about to happen.  This is the weirdest 'winter' ever.

  • That is so strange, and I would be pissed to wake up to that much snow! I hope they can get your power on again sooner than later!

just to clarify, I have power (we live in town), but lots of people don't. Roughly half of our local "population" actually leaves outside of the city limits.

  • I don't know how any of you handle the snow!  It's lovely looking, but I'm sure living with it is a whole different ballgame :(

  • Ugh!  What a strange winter.  2 weeks ago we got almost 3 feet of snow in less than 8 hours.  Tens of thousands of people lost power and some didn't get it back for days.  A "State of Emergency" was actually declared.  FF a week and we have unseasonably warm weather. FF another week and all of the snow is gone and it was 80 degrees out today!  So weird.
