Interview help part 2

So I did not realize till this evening that my phone has not rang all day. I normal get at least 2 calls from a friend. So I pick it up and nothing, so I use the cell to call the phone company and it turns out the wind has damaged the lines in our area and they are not sure when it will be fixed.

Now in my interview they said to wait for their call and not to call up there (they got bogged with calls I guess), but in this case if I just wanted to update my main contact phone to my cell, would it be a bad thing? Or would you recommend something different?

I really hope this doesn't hurt things!

Re: Interview help part 2

  • When you try calling your phone does it still bring you to a voicemail, or just nothing at all?

Have they ever contacted you via email that you could write back that way?

If there is no voicemail coming in and no email, I would just call and say you wanted to update your phone number.  Maybe even call after their business hours to leave a voicemail for them.

It is a home land line, and it just rings once then nothing at all.

Everything has been done by phone so no email.

Then if they essentially have no way of getting a hold of you I would call them.  Just make it clear that you aren't calling about the status of your interview or anything, just to update your main contact number since you are having phone issues in your neighborhood.
