London minicab company rec?

This is a f/u to my earlier post about catching an early a.m. flight to Heathrow... can anyone recommend a minicab company that they used? I looked online and there are hundreds to choose from (some of which look sketchy). TIA!

Re: London minicab company rec?

  • Honestly I would just book one when you get to your hotel. They will have car services that they use and they will be able to set it up for you. This isn't something you need to do way in advance.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4vNZASKKeE (bear with it, the minicab bit is about halfway in)
  • Yes, there are several which I use, but Addison Lee is probably the best.  A bit more expensive than some but great service, reliable and nice cars.  Don't book online as it's more expensive - I'd call the day before and set it up.

  • where are you staying? We always use Simply Airports 0207 701 4321. It is ?25 to Heathrown from kensington. Book at least a day in advance.

Agree. You can also use a radio cab (but they aren't 100% guaranteed) or ask your hotel to arrange a car service for you; many have negotiated competitive rates.
