Indoor exercise

I've been walking, which is my preferred exercise, but now my allergies are crazy.  Stupid blooming bushes.  I'm on three allergy meds, using a neti pot and still struggle to breath, so going out for a walk it totally out of the question.  Suggestions to indoor exercise with limited space and equipment?  I can't do too much high impact, my knee just can't handle it.  Hopefully I'll be able to head back outside in a week or two.

Re: Indoor exercise

  • I love yogaglo.com
  • TurboJam, slim in 6, 10 minute trainer.... There are a ton of programs from beachbody that work and are fun and great for any fitness level. I just lost 70 pounds after struggling for years.

  • I have a bunch of videos that I use in rotation - Jillian's BFBM, 30 DS and Yoga Meltdown, Xtend Barre Lean & Chiseled, Billy Blanks Boot Camp, Bethenny Frankel's Skinnygirl Workout.  Maybe a few others, and I like the 10 Minute Solutions Fat Blasting Dance Mix with Jennifer Galardi (I keep renewing that from the library right now).  Most of them can be adapted to be lower impact depending on your needs.  I also like to do some kickboxing; I just stick to punching and maybe some lower/easier kicks if I don't want to work the lower body too hard.  I have a few shows DVR'd for that, but also just do timed intervals (a minute of punching, a minute of side kicks, a minute of something else, and so on) while I watch TV.
