Anyone selling a home that had secod showings not result in offers?
We have a second showing tomorrow with the first showing on Tuesday. They have also requested to see paperwork on the major items purchased ( septic, air conditioning, water softener) and utility costs. Hopefully they put in an offer!

Re: Anyone selling a home that had secod showings not result in offers?
We had maybe a dozen second showings and one even asked when she could take possession. I'd get really excited and think "THIS is IT!!" which ended up making the process even more frustrating.
A second showing is a good sign, as is asking for paperwork, but it's not a guarantee.
It's definitely a good sign, but certainly not a guarantee of an offer. When we were house shopping, we saw a number of houses more than once that we didn't offer on.
Interestingly, we only saw our house once before we made an offer.
As a buyer, we are only going on second showings where we are seriously considering making an offer. We did go to a second showing that we did not offer on-at the second showing it was raining and it revealed some very serious water issues that the first showing didn't. (So grateful for the crappy weather-there was no disclosure of these issues)
We are going on two second showings next weekend-we actually love both houses, but they have different strengths and weaknesses. I believe we will be making an offer on one of the houses, with the other as perhaps a backup. Keep in mind too that maybe the buyer needs time to get some of their paperwork in order-like if they want to submit a preapproval letter with their offer. I wouldn't lose hope yet.

We only had one second showing and they did not make an offer. The first time was the woman alone, and the 2nd time was with her partner.
GL though, it sounds promising!
Asking for paperwork seems like a good sign, but the second showing doesn't seem like a huge deal to me.
I'm looking at houses while DH is at work. Anything I like, I'll have to schedule a second showing for DH to see. That doesn't mean we'll be putting an offer on it.
This is us too. DH does not have the time to view every house. I go on all first viewings and if I like it we go on a 2nd viewing. Often though he pints things out I missed and we wind up not liking the house after he sees it. However I am very picky so he's only seen 3 homes so far.
