To the ladies who have problems with foundation oxidizing on their face...

This is going to sound so weird and I don't know how it works but...I have a huge problem with foundation oxidizing (turning orange) on my face throughout the day. I had been told to try primer, use different foundation, etc., and nothing helped. I recently started using the beauty blender that came with my Birchbox and my foundation has not oxidized once since using it! Maybe it has to do with the water...? I don't know, but I wanted to share just in case other ladies had the same problem :)

What is a beauty blender and what is a birchbox?

  • Beauty blender is a makeup sponge.  It is hot pink and in the shape of a 3D tear drop.  Birchbox is a monthly subscription for a goody bag or box of makeup/skincare/etc. samples.

eta:  I'd like to add that I kind of guessed at these answers and did not google.  Was I wrong?

  • I've never had a problem with foundation oxidizing, but I do love the beauty blender like mad.

  • really?? I have tried almost every brand of foundation made. I finally found one that doesn't oxidize on me, but I'm not crazy about it. I use makeup sponges anyway, so the beauty blender may be worth trying.

Would you mind sharing what you use?

I have the same problem and had heard that foundation made by Asian brands doesn't oxidiize as much (I don't know what it is that makes them different) - anyway, I've been using Cle de Peau made by Shiseido and it doesn't oxidize, but it's really expensive. Going to try regular Shiseido next but am looking around for other recommendations.

I'm wondering if the beauty blender just keeps oil at bay and that prevents the oxidation? I don't know.

I use Lancome Teint Idole Fresh Wear. I love the feel of it and the coverage, but the problem for me is that the shade options are a bit limited.
