I need some help with doggie seatbelts for my three pups. I need something that's easy to use and safe -- I already have harnesses for all 3, but they are not the seatbelt type. I freely admit I have never been able to figure out how to use the seatbelt systems I've used before. I have one of the short loop with leash clip looking things, but I can't figure out what this attaches to! It does not work just clipping it to the seatbelt, as it pulls out.
Would anyone mind posting how to use doggie seatbelts for dummies? Also, what system do you have that you'd recommend? I drive an older Honda Accord, but it'd be nice if the system worked in my husband's Navigator also.
Thanks!
Re: Doggie Seatbelts
I love the PetBuckle seat belts. They clip into the latch system that carseats are clipped into or if your car doesn't have that, there is a way to hook them to the seatbelt instead. My dogs don't mind wearing them at all, they get so excited when they see me getting them out because they know it means we are going somewhere

Sorry if that's not clicky, I'm on an iPad. Let me know if you have any questions about them.
We have a Bergan one for my English Mastiff pup, http://berganexperience.com/travelharness/index.htm. With all of the systems, except hers (s-l, hers is the XL) you can clip to the latch system (hers goes over the weight limit). For hers you use the webbing part of the seatbelt connecter down in the seat. They have directions on how to connect it. The connection to the car is about 2:45 into the video

It works in my Subaru, DH's Honda, my parents' Toyota. Same thing worked in my Explorer.
Cancer sucks.
