Can I hear a big "Fcvk you!"?

I suppose a good place to compromise is the narrow issue of women's rights, lest you distract from actual, important issues?
(You just know someone's floating this to see if they can back off already. Fvckers.)
At the end of the Times piece, Senator Roy Blunt suggests that the new champions of women may be ?in serious danger of overplaying their hand,? and I actually think he has a point. While I certainly praise the support that Democrats have displayed for women?s issues in this election cycle, I?m starting to be turned off by the giddiness with which they?ve taken on the mantle of lady defender. I admit that the issue of political tone is small potatoes compared to the very important programs and services at stake in these debates, but I?m still a little uncomfortable with the unequivocal friend-or-foe rhetoric that has come to dominate this conversation.

Re: cousin friends & sister wives
Lady defender...? Really?
I honestly don't think that Republicans are thinking about the backlash here. I've voted both Republican and Democrat in previous elections, but the Republicans' focus on birth control and abortions means I will certainly be voting Democrat in upcoming elections.
I don't think the Dems are "overplaying" their hand at all. I am GLAD there is a political party that is willing to step up and take a stand against the insanity.
In short, fuvuvuck you, J. Bryan whatever. Hard. In the ear. And then the_ass. And then back in the ear.
Yes, but that might still be too much! Any day now it will cause the Republicans* to imply they have The Gay and they totally wouldn't have done that otherwise!
*not all Republicans, just the ones that seem to get elected or have national broadcasts

Oh, unless I'm reading this wrong, the writer considers themselves to be liberal.
Just because I can, the day I stopped trusting "liberals" in the Democratic party: http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2006/06/the-day-after-roe/4882/
BUT! On a brighter note, some nice Fcvk Yous (though directed at someone else): http://mashable.com/2012/03/16/kansas-governors-facebook/.
And because it'll be gone by morning, this is on his page now:
Dear governor, because i shed eggs during every cycle, which i believe to be self abortion, ive begun mourning and burying my tampons in the yard every month with little tomb stones. my neighbors are all judgey about it and im wondering if there's a better way of explaining it to them than "Sam would want it this way". please write back soon as my cycle starts next week.
