Just got this gem...it's the first contact from a guy on OkCupid.
So if you met a guy for the first time....he told you he had a bladder problem, would you continue seeing him?
I really want to respond and ask more questions, not out of a want to meet him but why in the heck he would lead with this???
Re: Sunday email
And this is what I'm toying with!! I watch too much TV and can't help but wonder if he's one of those guys who likes wearing diapers or something like that!!
Yes ma'am!!
Okay, here it is:
Me: Just curious why you lead with bladder issues? I would assume you have something then, yes?
OKC Guy: yea i do..... I'm honest up front.... a lot of women find it creepy to find out after the fact..... would much rather get a thumbs up or down prior to meeting or at least a open mind about it prior to meeting
Me: So can I ask what exactly it is?
OKC Guy: What the bladder problems? I have a nerve dammage to my bladder as a result of being introduced to lightning.....diagnosed as mixed bladder incontinence.....neurogentic and urge incontinence
Me: Gotcha!
OKC Guy: Medications have worked with all sorts of undesirable side affects..... so if you feel uncomfortable with a grown man wearing a diaper sometimes I may not be the one for you
Wow, that is quite a bit of info to just put out there! Are you going to respond to his diaper comment?

What on earth does "being introduced to lightning" mean? He was struck by lightning? Or is lightning a bouncer at a local club...
I am also not cut out for online dating. I'm terrified that they are all the craigslist killer
I watch too much crappy TV because that was my initial thought!!
I didn't....I wasn't exactly sure where to go from there!
I asked because that was an odd way to phrase it.
OKC Guy: Me and three coworkers were hit.....not a direct hit but close while we were on a roof of a house while it was on fire...... the storm passed we thought and we had to vent the smoke from the attic and look for aditional fire. Chris broke his leg....had burns.....scott has headaches....and I have bladder problemsm had a spinal injury and have headaches.
I totally agree! I do give him credit for that!
I bet he has waited to tell girls and then they find out and he never hears from them again...
poor guy.
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
Aww poor guy. I give him a lot of credit for being upfront about it. Does he seem cool otherwise?
I don't know if I'd rule him out just because he's got some health issues. Honestly, how many post-partum women don't wear panty liners everyday lest they have some leakage? I think if the diaper thing was a fetish it would be a bigger issue for me. Aren't Depends like real underwear now?
It's weird to lead with. But; imagine how much rejection/aversion he must get because of this. The poor guy. He's developed an almost offensive front line tactic to get it out there because he's been hurt.
Gah. Very sad. I'd be more wary of the emotional fragility than the bladder condition, honestly.
I've had to sport the panty liner before, but only for a short time, after being a victim of the "sniss" (sneeze and you piss yourself). That's what kegals are for!
