Belly bandit postpartum?

Anyone try the belly bandit and what are your thoughts?

This is my second, so I'm wondering if it would even be worth it since I never went back to my original stomach size with my first.

  • Lurker here. I used it and honestly I don't think it was worth the money. It wasn't uncomfortable when I was standing but it was anytime I was sitting. And I ddon't think it helped shrink my hips.

  • I used it with my 1st and honestly I liked it (but I had a c/s and it helps with ease the pain with c/s) but I dont think it is any better than the ones you can get at the hospital or the ones you can get at a sporting goods store for cheap

  • I used one with my second baby (he was born only 15 months after my first). I wans't sure what my stomach was going to do so I figured for $75 ? can't really remeber what I paid as it was 16 mos ago, I was gonna try it. I do rec buying the organic one as it is way more comfy and soft. Yes, it does get annoying but I really do think it helped suck everything back in. It is not designed to shrink your hips back, its just for belly. I wore it starting from the time I came home from hospital until about 4 weeks pp. It is not going to make your stomach better than it was before you had a baby, it just sucks it all in and seems to decompress the bloat/fluid. If that makes sense?? You will still have to do some form of exercise and ab exercise to get a flat, toned stomach.

  • I didn't like it. I felt that I wasn't using my muscles when wearing it, and it was better to actually let that area work normally and get strong again. Maybe some milder support like a tight Bella band would be better.

  • I considered buying one when I had my second child, but decided against it. I was unable to find many glowing product reviews or any proven studies that it has any positive impact to regaining prebaby form. I figured if those belly bands did work, it would be all over television and every mother would own one by now.

  • I got it and it was a waste.  I'm a labor and delivery nurse, and we carry abdominal binders for people if they ask for them or the MD thinks it a good idea after a C/S.  Just ask for one at your hospital.  They aren't as pretty as the belly bandit which is why I wanted to buy one but I am 100% sure I wasted my money.
