Walking Dead Season Finale (SPOILERS)
Am I just ignorant? Why do they keep saying that the farm is lost? If you wait a week or so, wouldn't the walkers have moved on?
And wow. Who is this person with the chained walkers? I haven't read the books, and don't want to know, really, just looking for speculation.
I am SO sad that we have to wait until fall now. It's not fair. *pout*

At the very end that building they showed looked like a jail, at least to me. Which is strange bc last week I commented to my dh about what would happen to prisoners if this was really happening. If its not a jail it's certainly a compound of some sort.
I still hate Lori. And hope Andrea is ok.

It was a wow kind of season finale. I am so glad I started watching this show. I am sad I have to wait till the fall but it will be worth it.
I know who the stranger is, it was said on the Talking Dead. I never read the comics but I guess everyone is happy about that character.
I also hate Lori. Dont know why she has to get all mad at Rick when he confessed to her about Shane.

In the books, Glenn stays on the farm with Maggie. I wonder if they carry on with the rest of the group, or go back.
That was sooo off the wall - even for Lori! We couldn't make sense of it and it really irritated me.. "Eff you, Rick, for killing Shane like I wanted you to and teaching our son to take care of himself in a Zombie Apocalypse. You @sshole!" WTF...
On the talking dead, they confirmed the building as a prison (but that was it).
That was so crazy with the hooded figure with the two chained zombies. I told DH it just took Walking Dead to a whole new level..
They talked about Lori in the Talking Dead. Basically same thing I said. I mean Lori went to Rick and was basically like "deal with Shane" "take care of the problem" and then Rick kills Shane in self defense and she freaks out.
Rick does seem to have gone a little crazy (With his rick-tatorship lol) but it is like they had NO plan. Did they even discuss where they would meet in an emergency? All that time on the farm and no set emergency plan?
And seriously, Lori losing Carl again.. more lives lost trying to save HER family..

XP from ML ---- I was suprised that this episode was so full of action as the rest of the season has been pretty dialogue filled and slow moving. I am so over Lori and Carl. Why, why, why weren't they the ones to bite the dust?
I hope Rick just kills Lori and Carl too. Ooooo I'm going to freak out and throw a bitchfit because you killed the man that may be my baby daddy, OOooooo. Please. I was hoping one of the walkers would have grabbed Carl while they were running back to the farm.
I was confused about Jimmy too, I didn't remember ever seeing him this season. Whatever, if you're going to be that stupid then you deserve what you get.
I did get a little skeeved out when the walker ripped that stuff out of Patrice's neck. Eewwwwww. And WTF- I'm going to hold on to your hand even though you CLEARLY are being eaten right now.
I was kind of pissed that they didn't have a plan in place for an event like this. Am I the only one that would have had a plan for an overrunning of walkers? And their plan on getting out was stupid too. Quit wasting your ammo and gas on driving around the farm taking out walkers, just get off the farm aready!
If anyone watched the talking dead, the person who saved Lori is Bischon. I guess Bischon is a big deal in the comics, they described her/him as someone who has figured out how to survive in their new world. The walkers on the chains was SO COOL! They also said the building in the background was a prison, and season 3 depends on them making it there.
Also- WTF to lets just stay out here in the middle of the woods tonight in a place that we can clearly be trapped because we ran out of gas. GO GET SOME MORE GAS! Ughhhhh Rick is stupid sometimes. "If you're staying, know that this is no longer a democracy."

Excited for Season 3!
This episode was sooo good! I cannot wait until the next season; I think the show is just going to get better and better.
As a previous post said, they gave up on the farm awfully easy. Those zombies struggled to get through a fence and an old barn, so I don't think they'd overrun the house as easily as the characters seemed to think, especially since they had the windows boarded up, etc, but I think the change of scene will be a good thing; the farm was getting a bit boring.
I think scenes at the prison will be crazy especially if there are still live prisoners there, or better yet, zombie prisoners. Oh I'm just so excited for what is to come!
I think this episode was good too. I don't like people getting eaten, but it seemed more inevitable here than when Dale got.
I think a prison makes so much sense for them to live in.
I have read some spoilers, but my non-spoiler based prediction is that Season 3 (probably towards the end) will reintroduce Merryl.
Great finale! And now I have to go read the books before next season. I can't wait that long!
Lori - so FINALLY you are concerned that Carl is not in the house? Jeesh... At the end, when Rick was telling her how he killed Shane, it seemed apparent to me that she had feelings for Shane. Anyone else feel that way?
The hooded figure - OMG. Ok, I hadn't read the books so immediately I thought really bad things. First - it could be Merle. And if not him, then someone from Randall's band. And we all know how it turned out for the female campers... I was praying this show wouldn't go there - it's just too easy/predictable. The Talking Dead spoiled who the figure was (and has already been discussed in numerous posts above). All I've got to say is - I am so excited to see more of her!!!
I'm not really surprised the group never talked about a rendevous point or had some sort of action plan. THey've been really lackadaisical about any kind of preparations and have let their guard down on the farm (hello? you could have been building shelter for the group? preparing for the winter? preparing some kind of secur compound?). It seems that they've now all woken up.

I thought the same exact thing. The way she reacted made it clear to me that she was pretty much in love with Shane. I think she loved having the guys fight over her. I hate her character.
I'm really excited for next season. I haven't read the books but I've read about them on the WD wiki, so I knew about the prison/hooded character. I liked that the finale was intense and suspenseful, with "cliffhangers" but no major and/or lame cliffhangers, if that makes sense (um, probably not. hah).
I think Lori's reaction was a mixture of her still having feelings for Shane and also guilt that her speech may have caused Shane to go off the deep end and try to kill Rick.

As for the prison I think that is where Randall's group is. He did say nearby and it would make sense that they would need to go further and further out to search for food/supplies. Also seemed to fit in with the stories of rape and pillage as in they were ex-cons.
I kind of feel like they should avoid it because it will either be full of walkers (because the prison guards left the prisoners locked in their cells with no food etc) or full of criminals which will have the same result as walkers (death and mayhem).
My hubby said he was with T-Dog- drive to the coast and then take a cruise ship, stock it up and set sail and make some adjustments- such as a roof top garden fro growing food.
Season 2 in a nutshell....
I thought that the finale was great. It sounds like from what they said on the Talking Dead that season three will be more like the last few episodes of this season so it should move a lot faster which will be great.
I think the reason the farm is lost is that not all the walkers will move on. It seems like some of the walkers like to linger around places. Remember the school where Shane and Otis went to get supplies, it seems like the walkers there had been there for a while.
I'm very excited about the new character Michonne. I have not read the comics so I don't know much about the character but it seems like things will be more exciting with her around.
I too was hoping that Lori would be attacked by the walkers but no such luck. I think Lori reacted the way she did to Rick is because it finally hit her that Rick and Carl are changing. Even though she had wanted Rick to kill Shane I don't think she ever thought that he actually would. I think she was especially shocked to hear that Carl is the one that shot zombie Shane. I also think she felt some guilt because she did have some feelings for Shane and she also realized that her little talk with Shane is what set him over the edge.
I felt bad for Andrea that she got left behind. It will be interesting to how she reacts to the group is they are reunited at some point.
The jail looks awesome and I'm excited about Season 3.
