AW: First 15K today

The only other race I've ever done is a 5K, so this was a big step.

I ran the Portland Shamrock Run - and finished in 1:39. The weather sucked big time (freezing, race was delayed, snow mixed with rain, etc), but I had THE BEST TIME. I loved it! I've already blocked the memory of the crazy hills, and I have had a permanent smile on all day.

DH thinks I've completely lost it, because I'm seriously considering signing up for another 15K at the end of the month.

I don't know how to post a picture of the elevation, but here's a link.

Once we peaked over the last final hill, it was all flat/downhill for the remaining few miles, & I felt like a million bucks.

I think I've found a new hobbby.Wink

Nice work on your run as well! The train delay before the race meant we were outside for so much longer than we expected, which was totally brutal. We went to Deschutes Brewery afterward, & dulled the pain with beer. :-)

The delay did suck. I got there early for DH run. Ended up waiting for 1.5 hours before my race started, brrr. After the race we went out to breakfast and then came home to take a warm bath :)
