We're on a budget, and I don't like spending more than I have to. I cut and color my own hair even, I'm that cheap lol. I've heard pretty good things about all their products, but I wanted y'all's opinions.
Sorry this is a post and run, but thanks for all your input.
Re: Opinions on ELF
The only thing of Elf I have used is the mascara.
I like Sephora brand of eyeshadow and blush. One eyeshadow is $12, but it lasts me an entire year. I use ULTA brand eyeliner. The eyeshadow and eyeliner last all day long.
I am cheap too....but I think it is important to spend money on products that last and are good quality.
I once bought a a palette of eye shadows (it opened up like a book) for $5. It included a decent brush and tips on how to get different looks. It wasn't the best makeup I've ever bought, but for $5, it was great!
I have nothing against ELF...it's not my go-to brand, but I know it works well for some.
They are a great option for someone on a budget. I've really like their:
I like their makeup brushes. I was not happy with their eyeshadows. I've heard their gel eyeliners are nice.
For mascara I like maybelline full and soft, and physicans formula, organic.
For pigmented shadow, try the maybelline shadow tattoo, it is a cream shadow. I also like revlon shadows.
If I had to pick a favorite drugstore brand for MU, It wouls be physicans forumla, hands down.

I find their stuff hit and miss. I either really like it, or totally hate it and it doesn't work for me.
There are many other drugstore brands with better stuff, imo. Rimmel, Neutrogena, Maybelline even! to make a few (and they are always on sale and you can always find coupons out there online to use).
