I think I need a day off to relax and recover from my weekend! Our carpet is going in tomorrow (and the fridge and dishwasher are being delivered!!) so this weekend was full on prep for that. I have a few paint touch-ups to do tonight, but mostly it'll just be cleaning and getting ready.
Saturday was fun. My step dad and step brother spent a few hours with us taking a bunch of different maternity shots. It was a portfolio builder for both of them. It was quite the set up.
Sunday we got up fairly early and got to work, then headed off to Rona (like Home Depot/Lowes, but Canadian) to take advantage of some sales. We've now got the rest of the trim that we need to finish both stories of the house, and a kitchen sink! Then it was off to my step-dad's mom's place for late winter/spring birthday celebrations. The highlight there was a really delicious cupcake.

My weekend was great, but of course went by way to quick. The weather was absolulely gorgeous, so I took advanatage of that. After dropping the boys off Saturday, I did a little cleaning, and then DH and I headed to a local pub for the night. It was a great time, but it was so hot inside since you could barely move in there. I don't know how I managed to do that 2 years ago while I was pregnant.
Sunday we picked the boys up after lunch and after quick naps we spend the afternoon outdoors playing, and going for a walk in the wagon.
Today we are hopefully picking up DH's Harley, and then it will be the usual routine.

I'm with you, raynes, and need a break after our weekend. We spent Saturday afternoon frantically couch shopping and buying some additional stuff for the new flat, and the rest of the weekend was pretty much spent unpacking. We have a fair amount set up, but there's still a lot of work to do. We have less storage than we had before, so it's been a challenge to figure out where to put everything, especially in the kitchen. We are also being fairly brutal with trashing/donating a lot of items.
Hopefully sometime this week we can get the movers to come back and pick up all the boxes they left, which will open up a lot of space. And I hope that our couch is delivered sooner rather than later because sitting on the floor is getting a bit old!

Good morning!
This was a weekend of visitors. My brother and his gf came over on Saturday for dinner. Then my ILs came yesterday. Perfect excuse for me to go shopping, so I went to the mall and got some jeans and a few things for our trip.
Today looks gorgeous again, so I'll definitely take the little guy out.

I was down for the count for about half of Saturday. I turned and got an instant vertigo attack. I couldn't shake it for hours, even after a pill and a nap. Ugh. We had a big party Saturday night with BBQ food and games. It was pretty fun. Sunday we lounged, DH went to play disc golf, and I'm pretty sure Jackson is getting some new teeth. He hasn't been this annoyingly cranky for a while. I hope they bust through soon.
Tonight I'm hoping for some new shows on CBS. The reruns are getting on my nerves. Hopefully I can catch up on some healthy eating. The giant plate of brownies and 2 bottles of wine from the weekend made me gain all the hard earned pounds I had just lost. Grrrrr.

I could also use another day. Friday was great. I left work at lunch and had lunch with some friends. Then I went off to watch b-ball and drink beer. I stayed there most of the day and then went to a St. Patrick's Day dinner with some other friends. It ended up being a 12 hour day of drinking and fun. Saturday I relaxed for a while and then met up with another group of friends. Yesterday I spent most of the day working around the house and doing laundry. Then we celebrated FIL's birthday.
Unfortunately I slept terribly the past two nights so I'm exhausted today. Tonight we don't have much going on so I'm hoping to get to bed early.
Good morning. Still off over here thanks to a flex day. It's filled with laundry and bathroom cleaning and other chores, but it's nice to be home.
This weekend was fun. On Saturday I did my half-marathon; I was kind of disappointed with my time, but I had been telling myself to take it easy because I care more about the 10 miler I have in two weeks. And then I realized I beat nearly all of my co-workers in terms of time, so that cheered me up a bit.
The rest of the weekend was very low key. We just relaxed a lot and spent some quality time together since Josh was away for a lot of last week. The one lowlight was that we did our taxes--even though we're maxing out our 401(k)s and even though we claim no exemptions and have taxes taken out as if we were single, looks like we owe. Boo! Not a huge deal overall, but still sucky.

Bah, I hate going back to school after break. It's sooo hard to wake up in the morning!
Yesterday was really crappy for Phil and I - we had brunch plans that got cancelled when we both came down with food poisoning or gastroenteritis. I don't know which it was, I just know that having only one bathroom when two people are sick is a real PITA. We're both feeling better, but awfully tender today.
I've got a busy day today - auditions for the school play start at lunch today, I'm starting a clowning unit with my grade 9s (not my comfort zone in terms of drama, so it takes a lot of prep) and have a leadership meeting after school. Then I have to go grocery shopping for a few things and do the vacuuming.

Good morning!
This weekend was busy. Friday Dh and I ended up walking over 6 miles to check out a car show and grab dinner. The president was in town so traffic was brutal so we decided to walk. The show wasn't that interesting but it was nice to be out.
Saturday was beautiful and some of it was spent studying and in the park.
Sunday was more outside time, daydreaming of a future vacation and more park time. I love being outside.

My weekend was ok, nothing too exciting. Saturday J went to his friends ranch to do some shooting so I cleaned the house and then read out of the patio for the rest of the afternoon. Sunday we did some running around to Home Depot and Lowe's to look at some tile for our entry way and a new vanity for our half bath. We didn't find anything we liked so I'm going to do a little online browsing today.
Last night around midnight I woke up to emergency lights and sirens right out our bedroom window. I got up a little panicked thing maybe our house was on fire or something, but they were actually going to our neighbors across the street. I watched from the window for a while as they loaded my neighbor onto a stretcher and into the ambulance, I'm hoping she's ok.
This weekend was very busy with the new house. We got a good bit done but like other people I am exhausted.
Last night me and Jordan went to see Phineas and ferb's live show. It was a really cute concert and Jordan loved it. It was also nice to not have to work on the house all afternoon.

This weekend was so busy! I agree that I need another day off.
Saturday was a good friend's shower. I ran in the morning before and then had to all prettied up! After the shower I went to Home Depot and picked up a Martha Stewart cube organizer...one of the 3 by 3 cubes with canvas bins for baby room. Then it was time for church and working on shower thank you cards. I still have about 20 more cards.
Sunday I ran/walked in the morning and then did a lot of running around. I had to pick up our other carseat base that I had ordered and buy some of the odds and ends of baby things. I also bought some nursing tank tops and bras and a few collage style picture frames because we're finally decorating the house. I got home and we literally brought in the bags and went to ILs for dinner. After that we stopped by my Dad's for a bit to visit with my brother and then watched The Walking Dead Season finale.
Today, work was much more low key than my horrible shift from Friday. But, again, lots of running around after work. In keeping with the decorating theme, we finally went to the framing store to pick out of frame to put our wedding picture and guest mat in. After that it was out to the moveis to see 21 Jump Street. We both thought it was pretty funny.
Seriously, I'm exhausted just typing it all out! Hopefully I can check in sooner tomorrow.
