Savannah, GA B&B Recommendations
DH and I are thinking about going to Savannah for our anniversary. Do you have any good B&B recommendations or even a good non-B&B recommendation? TIA.
Re: Savannah, GA B&B Recommendations
Dresser-Palmer House. Great location next to Forsyth Park, lovely neighborhood. What I liked most about it was the level of privacy for a b&b - several of the rooms have private entrances into a secluded little courtyard - you can come and go and feel like you're staying in your own place. We stayed in the Wisteria room which is sort of basement-esque but has a nice four-poster bed, large renovated bathroom, and private entrance to the courtyard. Breakfast was ok but they also have a wine and hors dourves happy hour which was nice. Staff helpful with maps, recommendations, etc.
If you're looking for a romantic dinner, I recommend Alligator Soul. I don't see it recommended often but it was delicious and had a romantic ambience. We had dinner there before going on a ghost tour with Savannah Walks and it made for a wonderful evening.
B&B's
Gatsonian, Dresser Palmer, President's Inn, Hamilton-Turner Inn
Non-B&B
Planter's Inn, AVIA, Bohemian, Inn at Ellis Square, Holliday Inn Express, Courtyard by Marriott, Mulberry Inn, Marriott.
I know there are some unexpecteds on that list but they are only a few years old and super nice as compared to what you would normally expect from those chains. They are also in great areas.
