Since it's dead - a carseat question
Do any of you have the Chicco Keyfit 30 carseat?
That's the one that my H and I decided on, but it's pissing me off. From everything I read, it seems like the only difference between the different colors are that some come with a cold weather boot thingy. But each color is a different price, and it ranges from $150 to $200 at babies r us. WHY?!
So, we want the grey and yellow one, which is $169 at babies r us, and it's been out of stock for weeks. Amazon sells it, but it costs $230. I don't understand why.
Is there a difference that I'm missing? Besides color? Do some of these seats drive the car for you?

We don't have that one, but it was the same for the graco myride 65 that we have. It would be the same model, but one color would be $75 cheaper.
We actually wound up getting a good deal on the basic black model at Walmart.com of all places. Amazon tends to be pricey for carseats.
That's weird. Amazon is usually cheaper.
There is a chance the color is being discontinued if it is out of stock and that may be why amazon jacked the price up.
We have the green one. I didnt notice a price difference with colors when we got it. It could be that some of the colors are discontinued and that's why they're cheaper/harder to find.
BTW, make sure you get the keyfit caddy. I fcking puffy pink heart that thing.
Crap...I Mean Crafts
I kind of want to just switch so we're registered for whichever color is the cheapest, but surprisingly my H is really adamant about wanting the yellow one. My aunt wants to buy it for us(YEAH!), and she's getting frustrated that it's out of stock, which is the only reason that I'm even thinking about this subject.
And Duckis, I've been going back and forth about whether or not we need that, and you just convinced me to add it to the list.
