  I'm from Central FL and live in sundresses most of the year, even when I'm at the theme parks. As long as you have comfortable shoes that go with your dresses, there won't be an issue. There's only a few rollercoasters, and I just make sure I have the dress tucked under my legs at the start of the ride.

  You could wear the cropped, cuffed "boyfriend" style pants/jeans or bermuda shorts also.

  Dresses can be difficult for rides, but otherwise, there's nothing wrong with wearing one to the parks.  Perhaps a longer dress? Otherwise, capris if you don't want to do shorts...

  Fanny pack and matching t-shirts you had made for your family tucked into some jorts :-) I feel this is the one place on earth (also the happiest?) you can get away with it.

  Not to sound crass . . . but nobody gives a darn what you wear in a theme park. Be comfortable. Nobody is going to know how much you hate shorts . . . but I will tell you that you will probably be more comfortable in shorts than a a dress.

  I would go with boyfriend shorts or capris over a sundress, but that's just me. You are gonna be walking a ton and it will be hot. (It was over 80 degrees yesterday and you are walking around on concrete with the sun shinning down) Wear comfy shoes that are supportive . . . you are gonna get tired!

  I'm not trying to dress for anyone and don't care what others think of me, I'm just trying to find other options that I might not be thinking of. I hate shorts because they are very uncomfortable for me to sit in and they ride up when I am walking. I love the way the look and wish they were more comfortable for me to be in all day. I am more comfortable in dresses/skirts, but I'm not sure that is the best idea to go on rides with.

   Thanks for the advice ladies, I might have to get some Bermuda shorts to try out.

  I would def recommend shorts over a skirt/sundress just for ease/convenience.  Getting in and out of rides you don't want to worry about flashing people.  I generally wear shorts, sneakers and either a tank top or solid color t-shirt.  If we take a break, I'll sometimes wear my Reef flipflops later on when I know I'll probably do less walking.  My flipflops are super comfortable, but walking around all day I tend to prefer my sneakers.  Plus the additional coverage helps prevent sunburned feet or getting run over by strollers!  Just make sure whatever you wear is something you are comfortable in.
