I finally wrote my race report!  It's long, so I won't post it here, but the link is in my siggy.

Looking forward to seeing other race reports!

Re: RnR USA race report

  • Congrats on your PR and fighting through an injury! Do you know what's up with the foot yet?  Your post was really inspirational to me, my pr is also 5:11 and I'm trying to break 5 at my marathon in May, and sometimes it seems unattainable.  I think you did a great job, regardless if you beat it or not.
  • Great race report!  If you can PR while hobbling with a foot injury, imagine how fast you'll run the next time.  Wink  I hope your foot feels better soon.  Keep us posted.  Congrats!

  • Thanks for sharing! Congrats on the PR in spite of the injury. Hopefully your foot will heal quickly.

  • Great report, hope you don't have a stress fracture :(

I enjoyed the race too and would definitely do it again.

  • Thanks!

Today is the first day my foot has been sort of walkable.  I brought one of my crutches with me to work just in case I need it later, but so far I'm okay.  Just slow.  I have an appointment with my ortho for Wednesday morning, so we'll see what he says.

  • Oh no, I hope your foot feels better soon!

I feel you on the sub-X:00 being thwarted by portapotties. I missed my goal by 10 effing seconds last fall. There was much cursing and many tears. You'll get it next time!
