Anyone use ProActiv? Questions....
Wednesday will be one week I have been using ProActiv. My skin has really cleared up as far as blemishes but it is super dry. It is almost peeling today. I have been using the green tea mosturizer that came with it but I am sure that is not enough. Do any of you have this problem and if so, what do you do about it?
Thanks!

Re: Anyone use ProActiv? Questions....
I have been using it for about 2 1/2 weeks now and I have had some peeling as well. The green tea moisturizer didn't seem like enough for me so I have been using this:

Also, the lotion that comes with the kit (step 3?) really dries out my skin so I usually just use that once a day (mostly at night). If my skin feels really dry I just wash my face with water in the morning and put on my moisturizer. That seems to give my skin a break and usually by the next day my skin feels good again and I start up with the proactiv again.
I used ProActiv years and years ago (I used to have super oily skin). After your skin clears up you can just use the Repairing Lotion to spot treat. Even with oily skin, after a while, a full facial application became way too much.
I still use it now, very sparingly, to spot treat issues.

Same here. I use the repairing lotion only (only at night now) with my regular facial wash and moisturizer. I have very oily skin and I've been using proactive for 5+ years. Using all the products dried my skin too much so I just adjusted their recommendation. I'm very happy with the results. My skin stays clear.

I'm a loyal long-time Proactiv user - I looove it.
I'd suggest you cut down to only washing your face with it once a day, and using a more gentle cleanser at night. That's what I do and it is the perfect balance.
I used it for years, and it's normal for your skin to get really dry and peel as it's getting used to the benzoyl peroxide. So you can either cut back on the BP as others have suggested, or you can stick it out for a while longer as your skin adjusts - it shouldn't be more than a month. Adding a few drops of jojoba oil (it's noncomedogenic) to your moisturizer will also help.
I agree with those who said to play around with combos and how often you use each product.
My routine looks like this:
1.Wash with cleanser at night
2. every few days I use the toner, but If I use it daily, I get too dry.
3. Repairing lotion
In the morning, I only use the repairing lotion. I don't wash my face with anything and I put the repairing lotion on as my only moisturizer before my make up.
