Re: b&m monday
It's testing week at school, which means the schedule at school is ridiculous..ughhhh.
Still ridiculously upset with my mother. I just looked at the house again and realized how much I like it though, so that made me feel better. I don't see what the big issue is about the "concrete steps" in the front...Yeah, sure..there are prettier fronts to houses out there and it would have been nice to have a house where you walk right into the house and not have steps, but they also didn't meet our needs inside..and to me the inside is much more important. /50th vent on this topic.
I'm at home with what I think is a stomach bug. But not the upchuck kind.
But that means that I'm staying at home all day. I needed a day off.
It's Monday...enough said!
Florida State lost last night and they ruined my bracket. I just need Kentucky to lose to ruin everyone else's brackets!
My busy time started at the end of the month and I'm stuggling to stay motivated.
YOU SHUT YOUR DIRTY MOUTH. :P
FSU losing ruined one of my brackets, too, but I was happy for Cincy to move on. Their coach used to coach at Murray, and he's a great guy. Plus I'm glad to see them rebounding so well after that awful fight early in the year.
Try to take some deep breaths and think about all the fun you will have. Even being a picky eater you will find food you will want to eat. And you may even find more you like than you ever thought. The next time you will get to go wi be with a baby/toddler/child and that will be much more stressful for you. Especially go of T's ticket is paid for! That is a huge savings. Go enjoy yourself, take some pictures and when your little one is old enough to understand you can show him/her that you took her to Europe! Don't worry about the languages. We have traveled all around the world and it had never been a problem (save for one odd emergency in Taiwan, long story).
I promise you won't regret it.

We just booked our packing date-it's in 4 weeks. EEEK!
We are also insane enough to drive straight through to VT (yep, VT) since our stuff won't get to PA until 7-10 days after packing and we don't want to live in a hotel or our townhouse w/2 dogs, 2 kids and no furniture. The thought of 20+ hours in the car with 2 kids and 2 dogs makes me break out in hives....
My stomach felt horrible this morning, but I stuck it out at work. I think there might be something wrong with me, because this is the third this it's happened in about a month, and the first time I was so worried, I went to the ER.
I have no clue what how to do what I've been asked to do at work and the two people I usually ask for help are both off today.
I wanted to sleep forever this morning. I am now home for lunch and I want to just snuggle my puppies the rest of the day, but I have to go back. Boo.
Apparently my escapade in five inches of snow in the Prius was a bad idea. One of the underside panels is loose, and was dragging for quite some item. David's coworkers got it zip tied up so it's not dragging, but I have to leave work early on Friday to go to the dealership and get it looked at. Fingers crossed they can just screw it back... I don't want to pay the $214 for a new one!
I wish I could go to the midnight premiere of the Hunger Games on Thursday night, but I should probably grow up and stop doing that on work nights :P
This exactly.
Tomorrow begins state testing at my school. I have been assigned to proctor a student who gets accommodations for the test, so it will be just the two of us in my tiny office, until she finishes, which could potentially be the majority of the day.
Our cat has been throwing up 1-2 times a week for several weeks now--which is not typical for him. DH finally took him to the vet this morning, and of course she saw nothing wrong, except that he was dehydrated. It could just be his food. They took some blood and we'll know tomorrow if they found anything on that. I just hope he's ok! He seems and acts completely fine, I'm just kind of freaking out and worried about him.
I can't BELIEVE that you didn't think about steps up to the front! That's SUCH a game changer! :P Christ.
You can hate me for this comment, but your family pissses me off. I'm sure they mean well, but between the fat remarks from your father on facebook to this, it makes me stabby.
I LOVE your house, its so classic.
Is there a back entrance to your house anyway? If there is you will be using that more anyway, tell her to suck it.
Our cats do this - after 5 million vet appts, one of the nurses finally suggested maybe it was hairballs and gave us some laxatone. It's a gel (we put it on their noses and they lick it off) that sort of lubes the system so that hairballs move through easier. It's helped a ton! If the bloodwork doesn't come back with anything, you should give it a try.
Kate's Recipe Box || Relatively Bookish
I was at the St. Paddy's day parade on Saturday, standing by my neighbor. I saw 2 english bulldogs and said, "Awwww! I want one!" My neighbor had the balls to say to me "YOU need to clean your house!"
"Uh, excuse me, when did that become your F_cking concern?" I actually didn't hear the remark because I was talking to someone else, but DH heard it and was like WTF lady?
She apparently thinks I take advantage of DH because I don't clean my house like I'm supposed to. uh, lady, I WORK 60+ hours a week. F you. It's not your problem that we hire a cleaning lady. When I get home, the last thing I want to do is clean, I'd rather play with my son.
Keep in mind that before KR was born my house was pretty immaculate.
She also thought that us spending 120 bucks on KR's birthday party to have it at Jumperoo was stupid to do for his 1st birthday. Once again, not his choice, but I didn't want 20 kids at my house. KR LOVES being around other kids and lights up. I know he won't remember it but he had a blast (see facebook)
So once again neighbor, "Suck it. For being a "friend" you suck"
