AW: Still slow... but it's progress!
I just started running again about a month ago after being sidelined for months with PF. I ran/walked a 5k on Sunday with the goal of 43.5 minutes. I finished in 42 minutes and felt strong at the end. I am still really far away from my goal weight so I won't be "fast" for a long time... but it felt good to surpass my goal! I have seven 5k's scheduled all through the summer and into Oct, so I am sure I will see some progress in the speed dept.
Any other slow runners out there?

Way to go!! I've heard that PF is a major pain (hah) so great job getting back out there!

Hello fellow portlander! Great job on the 5k and getting back into running!
What other races do you have planned for this year? I'm doing the Earth Day 5M next month, Starlight 5k, Mt. Tabor Doggie Dash 8k in July, and Best Dam Run 10k in September.

I've been running for a few years and I'm still slower than I'd like to be.
Aside from that, way to go on your races and seeing improvement! Good luck on the rest of them!
