Has anyone been watching? I actually enjoy it. I was giving it my 3 episode trial, and I'm liking it. It's kinda becoming my guilty pleasure...

I love it! Its way over the top, but after DH it's a refreshing change. DH is just so soap opera-y
We like it too! DH's parents live in TX and said that their church has an email petition going around because they are upset with the stereotype.
I think they need to lighten up! Its a cute show.
I really like it. It is my guilty pleasure watch when I have alone time at home.

I love it too, and look forward to it each week. I usually DVR it and watch it on Monday, so I haven't seen last night's episode yet.
I think it's great, I love the fashion and the "drama". I feel that it can be a little over the top, but the point is that it's a scripted tv show. I would never assume anyone is like that just because they live there.

On another note, I was wondering if the accents sound authentic to people who live in TX.
Anyway, this show is definitely cheesy and over the top but I like it and for now it's a guilty pleasure show just like Desperate Housewives was for me when it first came out.
A couple questions: I missed an episode.... how did the wife of the husband that kissed Amanda end up finding out about that? (sorry I don't really know all of the names yet!) Also- where do I know Cricket from?? It's driving me crazy.

I'm from TX. There's certain parts of TX where the accent is really thick like that. I don't think I have that kind of drawl at all. Lots of people in the Dallas area do.
Carlene (Kristin Chenoweth) spilled the beans about that husband kissing Amanda. And the actress who plays Cricket has had a lot of bit parts in different movies/TV shows. Look her up on IMDB and you'll see her resume.
Yeah, I know I need to do that. lol I've really just only thought it/her on the two occasions that I've seen posts here about GCB. I wasn't sure if there was a major role that I was forgetting about... I'm going to figure this out shortly!

I'm from Dallas and I don't have one. There are some people who do especially "old Texas blood", but it's not quite like that.
I was bored and watched a few episodes on Hulu. It's kind of funny. I think it would more apporiate in FW then Dallas though.
