Did you do anything fun?

Re: How was your weekend?

  • Nothing super exciting here.

Got a surprising number of house projects done, including my gallery wall, which I'll AW if I remember to take a picture of it.

Guest room is almost finished- I need an end table and to clean up some little stuff on my sewing desk, then I can AW that too.

  • My weekend was pretty good, Friday we had people over for March Madness. Saturday I spent the day reading Hunger Games, went out to dinner for Girls Night, came home and read some more. Sunday, Ryan did a bunch of stuff around the house and since it was so nice out, I spent the day outside reading and relaxing with the dogs.

  • This weekend was so much fun.

Saturday I worked at a Kid's Expo for most of the day with my awesome co-worker who is also doing the fitness challenge with me at work.

After that was done we grabbed dinner and met up with the rest of our fitness team (our boss and another co-worker along with his wife and 2 kids) for a nature walk. The walk itself was pretty lame but we could not stop laughing and cracking jokes. We all drove back into town and got ice cream and sat talking for another hour. I didn't get home until after 10pm.

Then Jon got off work and we went to a few bars until 2:30am.

Woke up Sunday around 9 and went for a 2 hour walk.

It was a LONG but really fun weekend!

  • Ours was pretty quiet. Guy wound up having to go to work on Saturday for a few hours so that one of his employees could go home sick. So, Ellie and I just hung around. When he got home we ordered pizza, had some beers, and caught up on Fringe. Yesterday I went out to run a few errands alone, then came home and we cleaned up the house and just hung around. I did a ton of laundry.
  • The weekend was good, but busy.

I hung out with old BFF and her wifey with a couple other friends Friday night.  It was the first time in 3 years we hung out as a group, so it was fun.

I had a dentist appt in the morning Saturday, then Sam and I went to have boiled dinner at my grandmother's house for lunch, and after dropping her off for my mom's at the night, Chris and I went to a 40th birthday party for his cousin, which took us well into the night.

Sunday we had breakfast at MIL's while Chris' aunt was still in town, and lunch was yet another boiled dinner at my mom's house.  Yesterday was one of the more nicer days in a while, so we were able to spend most it outside, which was awesome.  After my mom's Chris took Sam out so I could nap, and then we just relaxed for the rest of the night.

Currently, Samma is napping, so I'm catching up with posts and emails til she wakes up, and then we're heading to IKEA, getting cupcakes, and enjoying yet another beautiful day!

  • Friday- Took pizza over to SILs and planned to have a book date with our niece, but she started throwing up right before we got there and that continued into the night.  I hung out with her on the couch while SIL did laundry and cleaned up and Andy got her some pedalyte. I felt so bad for her. Then went home and watched Duke lose (boo).

Saturday- Cleaned, weeded the flower bed, ran some errands, then started St. Patty's day drinking at 3 PM.  Went to three bars and the casino. Lost too much money, but it was fun.

Sunday- More cleaning, did research on cars, watched more basketball, went to the grocery store had steak on the grill.

  • It was pretty good. Friday we got take-out sushi, opened a great bottle of wine and watched the 3rd Harry Potter movie..well, I watched it and Jon snored on the couch. Either way, it was good.

Saturday we got to the gym, ran errands, I got my nails done and then we went out to Remy's with friends to watch basketball. I was afraid it was going to be a total sh!!tshow because of St. Patrick's Day, but it turned out not too bad.

Yesterday we gymmed and then I went down to hang out with my mom. We got lunch, took the dog for a walk and chatted about stuff which was nice. It was good to hang out with her. On the way home I stopped at my sister's restaurant and brought her a spinach pie and hung out for a little while before heading home to get ready for the week.

  • I spent Friday night getting drunk, licking my wounds from the Mizzou loss, and boycotting the rest of March Madness.

Saturday morning I ran errands, then met up with H to watch a friend's rugby game.  Then we went out with the rugby team and did a little St. Paddy's Day bar hopping.  Fun times.

Sunday we spent cleaning and doing some baking (cranberry orange muffins and soda bread, nom!), getting ready for the fam to get here today!

  • Friday I went to the gym straight from work and then had quiet evening at home finishing "Mockingjay" and eating tuna casserole.

Saturday I had Zumba at 8:30 and then went with a group to my stepdad's boy scout troop's annual pancake breakfast fundraiser. The pancakes were delicious as always and we had a nice morning. Went home and watched Harry Potter while doing things around the house.

Saturday night we went to a party at a friend's house since other friends were in from TN. I drank way more than I anticipated because I foolishly let other people make my drinks for me. We stayed up until 5 am and then crashed on couches.

Woke up at 9, feeling like death, to Jay picking me up from said party. We drove home, I went back to bed and woke up around 2, had some gatorade and toast felt worse and went back to sleep on the couch until about 6:30. At least at that point I felt fine but I feel like I wasted the whole day and now I need Sunday redo because I didn't get to do any of the things I needed to get done.

  • Not a bad weekend here either.

Friday: went to Old Navy and Olive Garden with a friend from work. We've been planning this girls night since November and finally got around to doing it. I had a blast.

Saturday & Sunday: I pretty much cleaned all day...and most of the house is still a mess. I hate spring cleaning.

  • Friday DH and I ran errands. Then in the evening we walked our dogs to McDonalds and lost our Shamrock Shake virginity. YUM.

Saturday we were going to go out in the morning to check out downtown and find an irish breakfast for DH, but I didn't dig the scene and no one was serving anything but beer and hot dogs, so we went to First Watch and then found a British food store where we ate too many free samples. Then DH made irish car bomb cupcakes.

Sunday DH had to work (and he took all the cupcakes -- sob!) so I did a bunch of laundry and watched basketball games all day. I'm really excited that FOUR teams from Ohio are in the sweet 16 (Ohio State, Ohio, Xavier and Cincinnati), along with KU (although that game last night was UGLY and I had to go to bed before the end of it).

It's probably the best weekend I've had in a while. :)
