I think I must be the only person I know that don't own a pair. I work in a business attire environment, and we can only "dress down" on Fridays. Even when I do dress down, I will either wear Limited Exact Stretch Pants or dark denim with heels. On weekends, I'll wear either pants or maybe some cute flats.
I've felt the sole on the Sperrys and they are so comfortable. I am leery on paying for a shoe I don't think I will wear often... or will I?
Which kind of Sperry's do you own (please LIP or PIP if possible), and do you find yourself wearing them often?
If so, with what type of clothes?
eta: I am considering these Kendall flats since it's more along the lines of what I'd wear, but I'm also thinking they look kind of fug?

The other one I'm considering is the classic Sperry Topsider- the Linen/Oat color since it's neutral:
Re: Do you own a pair of Sperry's?
I have these that you posted. I wear them much more often than I thought I would when I bought them--I wear them both casually with jeans, and also with khakis to work. They are super comfortable, I love them SO much. I'm thinking of getting another pair in a different color. I definitely recommend. They run a little large, so I sized down half a size.
I don't know this kid or this monkey, but their side-eyes are strong.
that second pair you posted isn't the classic topsider, it's the angelfish. the traditional ones are called bluefish, and have a much longer toe pocket. which, if you have a larger foot, make you look like you're wearing skiis.
i have a pair of angelfish in linen/oat, and i've had them for about 2 years. i LOVE them, they're super comfy, and they're my go-to shoe if i need to throw something on for running errands and don't want to wear sandals, or if i know i'll be walking a lot and don't feel like wearing sneakers.

2 of my sisters have them and my dad wears them. One of my sisters was like dad do you like my sperrys? My dad replied: I've been wearing sperrys since before you were born haha.

If you want something a little different than the sperry, I have these and LOVE them. People ask me where they are from all the time!

I have the Angelfish in gold and LOVE them. That said, I've always liked the look of boat shoes (but didn't wear them myself until they became popular). It's a very versatile shoe in this color. I wear them with jeans, capris, shorts, denim skirt, and my khaki skirt. I don't have a job where I can wear these, but they are my go to weekend shoe that I wear everywhere.
I have something similar to these Sebago docksides:
And I wear them often in the spring and summer with jeans. I also wear them on occasion throughout the rest of the year, as long as it's not too cold or snowy. They are VERY comfortable, and they fit my slightly preppy style.
I grew up in a sailing town, so everyone owned sperrys, but they also had boats, so you needed the white soles.
I saw these flats yesterday while looking, thought they would be ok for casual Fridays at work.

I had never paid much attention until I moved to Louisiana 4 years ago and everyone was wearing them and talking about how comfortable they are. A fair number of those people had boats, so I didn't pay much attention.
I can't remember what made me give in, but I love them. So comfortable for weekend errand running, parades, ect. I can't wear them to work, but I still have one pair that have seen their better days and am looking for another cute pair.
They seem to be becoming more popular here. When I first moved back to Atlanta, I hardly saw them- now I see them everywhere.
I have a pair of bluefish in linen/oat and another pair in coral.
I really love them, and have had them since high school. I wear them when I know I'm going to be doing a lot of walking (I will only wear sneakers at the gym/runnig).
There was a post about the Kendall's last week; I'm not sure if you saw it...I ordered the Kendall's in the leopard (my first pair of Sperrys) from Zappos. Luckily, I wore them inside at the office the first time I wore them...because they were so painful I ended up getting 5 blisters btwn my heels, baby toes and one of my big toes. (which is a bummer, because when I originally tried them on they were so comfy I thought they'd be a great walking shoe for my trip).
I returned them over the wknd bc I wasn't willing to pay that much for a shoe that unfortunately did not fit my foot very well.

Why would you buy shoes that you think are fug?
No, I don't own a pair of Sperry's.
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
I'd like to know how one "gets" Toms, eventually?
What does this mean? What is to understand that enhances these shoes?
