Good morning! Not much is new around here. I had to schedule my first dental appointment here. I'm always a bit nervous to go to the dentist, but the first visit with a new dentist is making me really crazy nervous. And I am pretty sure I have a cavity, which is only intensifying my apprehension. By next Wednesday I will be a trembling mess of fear.
QOTD: Any cake that gets me the maximum amount frosting. I believe cake is merely a frosting delivery device. But that does not mean I'm happy with crappy cake. I want a good, moist cake with tons o'frosting.
Happy belated dia de San Jose! Madrid was fabulous this weekend. I swear I gain five pounds as soon as I land on Spanish soil, but I don't care. I ate so, so, so well all weekend and love that I shared those meals with my extended family. I think I needed that pretty badly after living in a new country with no support system for the last two months.
I like red velvet a lot, but really, I'm an equal opportunity cake-eater.
Morning. I had a 4 day weekend which was nice - nothing major happened... Minded niece overnight on Saturday, my parents and grandmother came for lunch on Sunday (Mother's Day here) (and yes, I cooked, not dh...) and went to ILs for lunch yesterday. A short week this week seeing as I'm still off on Fridays! And a wedding this Saturday (a night away from N)
QOTD: I think it would be chocolate biscuit cake with fondant icing on top... but the chocolate biscuit cake would have to be made with Callebaut chocolate and have Malteasers & marshmallows in it too... Fussy? Me? ;-)
But I like most cakes really as long as they don't have cherries in them...

We had our Persian New Year celebrations last night, a great dinner, too much wine and M got a ton of gifts.
QOTD: I'm not much of a cake eater, but my favourite would be chocolate.
Afternoon! I'm beat. We had a long weekend. Good, but long. I'm planning on resting all day (well, and doing laundry) before kicking back into gear tomorrow..
QOTD: I like a yellow cake with chocolate frosting. Or chocolate cake with chocolate. Chocolate should be involved somehow for sure.

My week end sucked! I've been sick since Friday night with the worst dry cough I've ever head. I can't sleep and am just miserable
I was supposed to audition on Sunday and wasn't able to. BLAH!
QOTD: I'm not into cakes that much but my fave here in NYC is the raw Tiramis? from Pure Food and Wine. hmmmmmmm When in Italy I can't resist grabbing my favorite crostata in Sutri (50km north of Rome), where my aunt lives.
