f%@^ing irritable

Lately I've been VERY irritable. I'm not sure if it's in my head, or if I'm finally at my breaking point with certain things/people.

I think I hit my last straw today. I just about told my boss to shove it up her ass when she called me to tell me I (gasp!) clocked out one minute early 4 times last week, and to not do it again. Conveniently forgetting that for 6 months the timeclock was off by 3 minutes, so they got an extra 3 minutes from us all every single day (except her, because she always leaves at 5 till). Oh, and also forgetting that I clock in at least 5 minutes early every single day.

And she told me this right before she left for lunch, didn't clock out, was gone for an hour and 15 minutes, then "clocked out" when she got back and then back "in" 30 minutes later.

And that's just the first thing that happened today to piss me off. I still had 6 hours left in the day at that point.

Re: f%@^ing irritable

  • What the heck do you do that you can get that much extra work done in 1 minute? That's crazy.
She's crafty - and she's just my type.
  • Exactly.

Our timeclock is set up in 7 minute intervals. i.e. If you clock in at 8:52, it goes back to 8:45, 8:53 and on, it goes to 9. So theoretically, if I clock in 7 minutes early in the morning, 7 minutes early from lunch every day, and clock out at 6:06 every night for 4 nights, but clock out at 5:52 one night, instead of getting an hour and a half of OT, I actually only get 39.75 hours for the week.

And yes, this has actually occurred.

    Hence my siggy ticker.

  • Wow, I can not hardly belief this. I guess going forward I would stand at the clock until it clicks to 6:00 then clock out. I would probably stand there every day a few minutes early waiting for the clock to change but I can be obnoxious that way.
