Longtime lurker intro
Hi Ladies!
Dh and I do our best to travel a few times a year - at least 1 cruise and 1 land vacation and a few wknd getaways in the mix too. So far, our favorite destinations have been Hawaii (Maui) and multiple cities/towns in Italy.
Looking forward to getting to know everyone, offer experience and get ideas for future travel.

What did you love about Maui? Would you recommend island hopping in Hawaii or staying on one island to really explore it?

What state do you live in?
I would LOVE to travel to Europe more!!! Dh and I have a plan to take 2-3 weeks to travel Europe in about 2 years once we pay off all our debt - as a HUGE gift to ourselves.
For the first time in the 8 years that Dh and I have been together, we do not have anything planned right now, which is such a weird feeling b/c I am so use to researching destinations, learning more about the country/city and things-to-do, etc... Since I'm not doing that right now, I need to fill that void...hopefully participating on this board will help.
Your cruise to the Baltic sounds fabulous! Is this your first cruise? What cruise line and ship will you be on?

I wish I could answer this, but we have nothing planned and it's "killing" me. I hope this changes soon!
It's not my ideal vacation, but there has been a little talk about a small family reunion with the IL's at Walt Disney World for Sept. If this doesn't work, Dh and I will definitely be planning something else.

We loved everything about Maui; the beaches, the sunsets, the people, the geography - it's gorgeous! We had little adventures each day, which made exploring fun, we didn't rush and we didn't do everything...we knew we were going to go back, so we saved somethings to do for that trip when the time comes.
We did spend all of our time on Maui, except for a day trip to Oahu to tour Pearl Harbor, Honolulu and Waikiki. For our next trip back, the rough plan is to island hop, 2-3 days on each island and for the last leg spend 3-4 days on Maui for R&R (since we know what to expect). But really, who knows....we might fall in love with Kauai and want to spend more time there. We will figure it out when the time comes.
I hope you make it out to Hawaii soon!!!! I could talk about Maui all day, so let me know if you have any other questions...I'm happy to help!
