AW: A little late but here's my 1st Half Recap
So this weekend was my first half. I ran the Rock 'n' Roll USA 1/2 in 2:13:19. My goal time was 2:15. WOOO!
I felt a little under prepared as far as the hills in the city. But overall, I'm very proud of having completed the race.
The RnR crew were amazing. It was a very well organized event and I definitely am excited to do it again next year.
Now I'm looking for my next half because my hubby expressed regret in having not signed up with me even though I kept urging him to do so!

DH and I are eyeing the VA Beach Rock 'n Roll Half Marathon over Labour Day. We booked the hotel. Although it may just be him doing it, unless we can find a sitter for DS.
Also there is the VA Wine Country half but I've heard that has a ton of hills. There is one in Alexandria over Memorial Day weekend as well.

The one in Alexandria was my first half last year. Check out the course before you sign up because it was a little boring. We ran to a park, 3 laps around it, then back. When I was getting to the park, the leaders were starting their third lap, which was both awesome and soul crushing! ha! I think there were under 3000 people running it last year, so it is a pretty small race, though fairly well organized.

Labor Day is out for us though because we will be visiting San Diego... unless there's something in San Diego Labor Day weekend. I'm going to go look into this...

And, I'm going to be in San Diego on Memorial Day as well, and looked for a race but came up emtpy. If you do find something, please let me know!
