I'm wedding registry shopping

... and totally judging.

Why on Earth would you need 15 washcloths?!

Re: I'm wedding registry shopping

  • I always judge registries when I am shopping off of one...lol

15 washcloths, seriously!?! Do they plan to never do laundry??

  • That is funny!  I think we have 3 wash cloths.

I always look at them and say to myself you will never use that and I can always tell what things the guy scanned.

  • I saw one where the couple registered for FOUR complete king size bed sets. Granted, I doubt (and I'm sure they do too) but four total sets? And we had another couple who registered for six different sets of dishes at Target. The different sets don't even compliment each other.

  • Actually, there was 15 of that one color. The grand registry total is 30 washcloths, 10 hand towels and 22 bath towels.

They're moving into an apartment. I don't know where they'd put all that!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that judges.

  • Holy moly, that's a lot of towels! I registry judge too. I'm also worried people are going to judge our baby registry, because I have a couple of the same items on it, like the stroller, carseat, and then stroller with carseat sold as a set. But the set is cheaper than buying each separately if someone chooses to go that route. Then I have 2 playmats on there, but it's because Amazon keeps selling out of one of them at different intervals. I'm glad Amazon has the option to add a note or comment though next to each item to explain, I don't need a stroller, carseat, plus the set, or two playmats.

  • that is a crazy amount of towels and wash clothes! I think we have 2 sets per bathroom. But I do have at least 15 baby wash clothes. E goes through them like crazy.

  • Um, WTH...are they on crack?

I have 4 wash clothes for each bathroom, 2 of one color, 2 of the other.

15 of ONE color...maybe if they were just rags to wipe the counters with, but for your bathroom? I wouldn't even want to store it.

On a side note how funny would it be if you just bought all the wash clothes?

I considered it! But even at $3.50 a pop, it's more than $100!

  • I guess it just depends. I bought a huge pack from Costco shortly after we got married. I wash my face multiple times a day though because I have oily skin and otherwise I break out like crazy. Since I have such horrible skin I only use my wash cloth once and throw it in the laundry as a result only having a few would never work or I'd be doing a little bit of laundry for just a few washcloths.

15 washclothes doesnt phase me... I use them daily for my face but 22 bath towels... Wow!!! My sis and BIL never use a towel more than once so they probably have at least as many... I think I maybe have 6 bath towels.
